Finch those are called composite cables
there are 4 types of video hookups out:
* RF -the same cable used for cable tv, also known as coaxial these were used for the snes and all the old systems, they carry sound and video in 1 wire and overall SUCK lol
* Composite video - also known as AV hookups these are the most common hookups used, the sound quality and picture is better than RF, the yellow cable carrys video and the red and white carry left and right stereo sound respectivly.
* S-video - Also known as split-video this is a nice step up from composite, the video is split into color and black and white, the sound must be hooked up using other wires.
* Component video - Possibly the best hookup available these are even ahead of s-video, looking much like composite cables except for diffrent colors, these work by color, black, white all traveling through their own wires, sound must be hooked up by other means.
