these are books that ive finished recently...
"a walk in the woods" by bill bryson. it was actually a really funny nonfiction recap of 2 guys that hike the appalachian trail. the author (one of the hikers) throws a lot of underlying humor in the book though that actually made me laugh out loud several times throughout the book.
"mind hunter" by stephen douglas i believe (i might be wrong about his name but that sounds right). stephen douglas writes FBI forensic novels about murder/rape/etc. investigations and also provides insight as to how the forensic process occurs as the FBI uncovers clues. his books have a very realistic atmosphere as well because stephen douglas was once a forensic scientist as well, and therefore his books are very accurately detailed and very suspenseful. if graphic depictions of crime scenes dont interest you though, i would stay away from his books. they are very graphic as he sets the mood and the suspense. they may be based on true stories, i cant remember if they were or not (i think they are though). oh and im thinking the author's name isnt stephen douglas, but i cant recall his name now and i lent the book to a friend so i cant look it up.
