Saw X-MEN 2.....

I really enjoyed this movie. Bryan Singer seems to able to deal with a lot of characters really well unlike Joel Schumacher in Batman. Seeing Pyro's flame attack unleashed and of course Nightcrawler's teleport were amazing. Same goes for Deathstryke's claws . She was absolutely vicious.

I'm really looking forward to The Hulk now.

i said earlier the hulk will probably be stupid. im NOT a fanboy, i havent read comic books since i was 10, but i was into the series staring BILL BIXBY <--spelling yes i know...i mostly watched it because the "hulk" was played by...i think lou farigno a body builder. It might not have been him though. anyway they changed the story in the new one. but yes i saw xmen today, wonderful movie, much better than the first.

-------------- Spoiler Warning-------------------------

I yelled pheonix when gene greys eyes had the "fire" effect and noone knew what i was talking about........fools........but i thought to myself why did they change the story, and i realized that in the cartoon, she becomes pheonix by flying into the sun, or a star or sonthin i dunno, but the pheonix takes control of her. I realized that they changed the story because in the cartoon this all happened in space, and they didnt have a purpose to even go into space in this movie. I sound like a fanboy, but i swear im not! lol flame me if you must

Yea i of course saw it, being the comic freak that i am. :D

Anyways...

For the most part they didn't change alot but some they do need to for it to work on screen.

---------------SPOLIER WARNING-------------------

*Start sonic the picky continuity bastard!* ;)

If you noticed when Mystique first infiltrated Lady Deathstryke's PC, you could see the name Remy LeBeau(GAMBIT!) for a brief moment!

Colossus was in there, but he could control his metal form unlike in the comic.

Jubilee made an appearance and was one of the younger mutants who was captured, she is probably one of my favorite female x-men from the comic due to her getting her powers from the arcade ;).

Pyro was never really a good guy, for those of you who know him for wearing the red suit they obviously wouldn't work for the movie. I liked how Magneto kind of turned him to the dark side of his ideal's of humans=suck and he ditched the X-men obviously because of Magneto and all.

I thought it even out did the original and also it basically followed the storyline pretty closely to what it should be (IE: the mutants being controlled etc.)

And Yes Hal i could so freaking tell that if they make an X-Men 3 Dark Phoenix or Phoenix will be in it. I noticed, and i don't think i was seeing things but at the very last scene of the movie if you looked in the water, you could see the shape of a bird made of fire kind of in the water. Which is so obvious hinting at Phoenix. So your not alone, as soon as she sacrificed herself(duh she'll be back) i was asking my friend if he remembered the phoenix saga.

I believe I also noticed the name Maddox in that database to. I think that is the name of the Multiple Man.

Pyro freakin rocked when he unleashed his powers. I'd like to see Iceman fully use his powers in a similiar way.

**** Spoilers***

The foreshadowing for Phoenix was nice. Actually while the story is changed it still strongly parallels the original wich is very cool. In the original the ship was in space, Jean Grey sacrificed herself to protect the X-Men, and exposure to radiation did something to her. In the new version the radiation came from the Liberty Island incident and then she sacrificed herself holding the ship together. Both have the same result of her lying dormant under water for a while and when she wakes up she is more powerful but her memory is messed up. I think I got that right.

Yeah after hearing about Iceman in there i was expecting him to Utilize his powers alot but he only used them a few times and not to the extreme, which can be expected since in the comic alot the people with ranged type powers(psychic, projectiles, etc.) Develop over a period of time. For example iceman gradually learned more about his powers until he could form himself in Ice, and later could form shapes and such. But i wanted to see him attack or do the ice slice!

The thing that irritates me about rogue is they should have kept her supere strength and maybe flying(though budget wise that's expensive, flying that is). Because she is too bland with just the power stealing side.

Also the original pyro had flamethrowers on his arm to make the fire since he can't create it. I liked how he always had that lighter.

Over all it was still good and i can expect them to change stuff for the neophytes. And yes the story is simular, but i can bet like maybe 2 people per theatre actually knew what it was ;)(in reference to the Phoenix stuff)

And they need beast!

I also noticed banshee was in there but he isn't a girl obviously also.

The fight between, Lady D and Wolverine was great. I just dislike how they focus the story too much around Wolverine. In the comics and the cartoon it was always switched about storyline wise who was the focus if you know what i am saying. Kind of like how integral people like Colossus play a background role.

they need to put Iceman when he is all ice, not just shooting Ice beams...
Colossus looked sweet!!!
I want to see Angel/Archangel in the next movie also..at least a few seconds (just like Colossus perhaps?)
anyway
great movie!!

...my cousin was screaming pheonix and I thought he was crazy...also, Beast was supposedly in the movie, he is on a tv screen or something llike that in the background. Also, why the hell must Cyclops press a damn button for his optic blast? Pisses me off!

Because that's how it works, and he's always done it except for a few error's here in there in some video games and such. Lemme put it this way.

If Cyclops takes off his glasses, the lasers from his eyes would repeatedly keep firing until he closes his eyes. The point of the visor he wears is to keep the lasers from going out, thus the use of the button to allow them to pass through. ;)

In every game I have played or comic ive seen I dont remember him ever pressing a button...but I trust you ;-)
Isnt there some sort of thing where he can like flex a muscle to press the button?? It'd be a lot easier. Also, Id like to see some ArchAngel action. He is saweet. Can you pull up some ArchAngel info like ya used to do for Blade for me?!? That would be cool.

Once known as Angel , not to be confused with the Golden Age Angel

Briefly known as Death, not to be confused with the current Death

Real Name-- Warren Kenneth Worthington III

Class-- mutant

Occupation-- adventurer , heir to fortune , former chairman and stockholder at Worthington Industries

Affiliations-- X-men , former member of the Champions , former member of the Defenders , founder of the defunct X-factor , member of the Hellfire Club

Base of Operations-- nationwide , resides either in New York or Colorado

Powers: Worthington's mutant nature grants him two natural, feathered wings jutting from his shoulders, by which he can fly at moderate speeds. Worthington has become amazingly adept at flying and aerial maneuvers. The duration of the time Worthington can stay airborne is difficult to discern, and would depend on headwinds and other weather conditions, but he has been known to hover in place for hours as well as fly non-stop for 12 hours. Worthington's average cruising altitude is 10,000 feet, but has been known to ascend to 29,000 under duress.

Worthington's whole physiology (bones, musculature, fat cells, etc.) is adapted for flight and is extremely light. The result is that he suffers much less physical damage when he drops for a great distance, can see and breath normally even at high altitudes, and has eyesight as keen as many predatory birds.

During a period of time when Worthington lost his wings, he had similar wings grafted onto him by the extremely powerful mutant Apocalypse, a process that tinted his skin blue. These cybernetic wings were constructed out of an organic-type metal and capable of retracting into a harness that was grafted onto Worthington's back. The wings allowed Worthington to rocket at incredible speeds, as well as project a barrage of deadly "fletchette" feathers that carried a neural toxin, disrupting a victim's nervous system. These wings contained programming by Apocalypse and would lead Worthington to lash out in berserker rages, and they would even attack independently of his control.

During a period of time when he possessed psionic abilities, Worthington's wings and hair seemed to glow with light. He claimed to be an embodiment of hope, and used his abilities to heal others. The full range and extent of these abilities remains unclear.

History:Heir to the Worthington fortune, Warren Jr. learned to hide his mutation early. However, a fire at his private school dormitory led him to use his flying power to rescue his fellow students. To conceal his identity, Worthington wore a long, blond wig and a long nightshirt so he looked like an angel. The rescue was successful, and Worthington became a costumed adventurer in New York City under the name of the Avenging Angel.

Shortly thereafter, Worthington was contacted by Professor X to join his new School for Gifted Youngsters and thus form his original X-men. As the Angel, he served the X-men for some time, until being captured by the island monster Krakoa and being rescued by a new team of X-men. Worthington left the team, as did the rest of the original members, and after his parents' deaths, inherited their vast wealth, living the life of a wealthy heir/playboy.

Later, Worthington used his fortune to help form the super team, the Champions, at which point he publically revealed his identity. The team never lasted beyond a few missions, and Worthington moved back to Colorado. Around this time, he developed a serious relationship with Candy Southern, and together, they helped make the loosely-defined superteam called theDefenders a more cohesive group. Soon, however, Worthington left to join the rest of the original X-men and his childhood friend Cameron Hodge in forming a new team, called X-factor.

During one mission, however, when saving the underground Morlocks from a "mutant massacre," Worthington's wings were pinned to the wall by the villain Harpoon. His wings were severly injured to the point that amputaion was necessary for him to live. Distraught by this experience, Worthington attempted suicide, and was believed dead, although he was rescued by Apocalyspe. Worthington agreed to serve Apocalypse for return of his wings, and Apcalypse warped him, body and mind, into his own "Angel of Death," calling him "Death" and placing him a part of his team of Horsemen. When fighting the rest of X-factor, Worthington was soon brought out of his brainwashing and rejoined his team as the somber and brooding "Archangel."

At this point, Worthington was often the target of attack by his friend-turned-traitor, Cameron Hodge. Hodge eventually killed Candy Southern, and Worthington apparently killed Hodge in retailiation. Continually fighting an inward battle to fight his killer instincts, Worthington eventually won over Apocalypse's influence.

About the same time, the original X-factor became a part of the X-men fold again, and Worthington often adventured with the X-men's "Gold Team." Soon, he became romantically involved with fellow X-man Psylocke. When fighting the mutant Sabretooth, both he and Psylocke were gravely injured. Worthington helped his friend Wolverine search for a cure for Psylocke, and eventually revived her with help from the Crimson Dawn, at the same time regaining his original, feathered wings when his cybernetic ones "molted" away. Soon, he was left with two wings akin to his original feathered ones, although he retained his blue features. Worthington left the X-men with Psylocke to recouperate.

Worthington joined a splinter X-Men group to assist the Mannites in their battle with the latest bearer of the name Death. When Worthington returned home, he was attacked by an alien doppelganger of the X-Man Wolverine. This prompted him and Psylocke to rejoin the X-Men, and they became involved in stopping the latest plan of the villain Apocalypse to gain ultimate power. During a fight with the brainwashed Wolverine, Angel became more and more ruthless, until he was overcome by a transformation that left him with glowing wings and hair as well as psionic abilities. He used these abilities to track down the first Horseman known as War, who had somehow once again become a paraplegic, and healed him. Worthington explained that he had become the embodiment of hope, and then he used his newfound psionic powers to heal War.

Worthington then divided his time between running his fortune, Worthington Industries, and working with the X-Men. Over time, his new abilities disappeared and his relationship with Psylocke drifted apart.

Eventually, Worthington returned to the X-Men full-time. He helped the X-Men defeat the threats of the X-Corps and the Vanisher's mutant drug cartel. Worthington has become the leader of the X-Men's active away team, and even took the opportunity to address a European summit about mutant rights. This move and the cause that he promoted have helped turn the X-Men from an outlaw band of heroes to a recognized global rights group.

spoiler.....

This ice dude can turn water into ice.....so why was he checking out Rogue's @ss when the dam broke.

Even if he could his powers aren't instant. The result would probably have been a surge of water plus icebergs coming down on the ship instead of just water.

Yea, notice how much Jean Grey was just straining to use her powers as they are evolving and showing proof that they are trying to go down the path of the Phoenix storyline.

Also, budget wise i think it's a reason why they didn't have colossus in full metal form all the time like he is in the comic.

This reminds me of the one thing i didn't like about the hulk was he was running at "The Flash" or "QuickSilver's" speed on the movie.

I think IceMan should have tried really hard to freeze all of the water...this would have been a good time for the developers to introduce Iceman turning himself into Ice and throw that in the storyline...also Storm could have really dropped the temperatures and helped out a bit. And cyclops could have blasted the water and evaporated some of the water. Together, with Jean's help, I think they could have controlled it.
