Yankees!

Yay. I think the Yankees are the best MLB team out there.. they are stacked and do great every year..

..any Sox fans in here? ;)

Re: Yankees!

Sure that's why the NFL & College Football is the most popular sport in the USA right? when was the last time you heard about baseball videogame sales getting anywhere near football game sales. Baseball was passed by football when the superbowl started. It's been a long time now that football is the #1 american sport and has been the real past time for the last 30-40 years. Baseball is a game for old farts and nerdy stat geeks. :p

Fuck you it is :X

Sorry about F bomb.. but people judge baseball by it's cover, old and torn apart. Watch a game, and understand the rules before you judge it, okay?

Re: Yankees!

Dude seriously how hard is it to learn the rules of baseball? You're talking to a big sports fan. I know what baseball is all about and know the rules, but as a sport it's pretty damned boring. Mainly because it's not a game of athleticism and it's not a timed game, so games can last way too damned long. Don't assume just because I don't like a specific sport I don't understand it. I know alot of idiots hate a sport w/o knowing what it's all about, especially sports hating loser PC gaming geeks, but I'm not one of them. I could tell you that a 5-4-3 double play is when a ball is hit to 3rd base and is thrown to 2nd and then to 1st. Seeing as how the catcher is 1, the pitcher is 2, the 1st base is 3, the 2nd base is 4, and the 3rd base is 5.

So check yourself before you rickety reck yourself cockgobbler! :p

You can only truly understand the game of baseball only if you've played it before. And played it seriously. You said it for "nerdy stat geeks." Who on the field is a nerdy stat geek? Am I???? Nooooooo.

It takes a lot of skill to be good at baseball. And you say "yeah, all it is is put a bat on the ball." Well, what if a curveball comes flyin at you? Then it's a whole different story. Baseball is not that easy. Football, you get the ball handed to you and run your ass off, thats about it. And in football, you are prepared for what is going to happen. Baseball is a whole different story and it keeps you on your feet because you don't know what's going to happen next.

Re: Yankees!

Yeah football is all about getting the ball and running, give me a break you don't know anything about QB's having to read where the blitz is coming from, if the DB's are playing zone or man to man, the offensive line play involving pulling guards, break back blocks, the multifold of moves each position has to perform to do their job right, or the immense playcall strategizing in football to even come close to comment. I've played baseball a ton growing up and well into highschool and early college, so I think I know enough about the game to know it's just not my kind of sport. I like constant action not sitting around for hours waiting for shit.
I know all about the slider, the curveball, the changeup, how to play a pitcher, how to pull a ball, hand signs from the 3rdbase coach to the catcher, then to the pitcher and all that good stuff. Believe me baseball isn't as strategic as they make it out to be and not nearly as strategic as football. Baseball as a sport is sufferring and it's attendance records, sales figures, and poor tv ratings show the lack of interest in "America's past time".

Re: Yankees!

Kids...they are both tuff sports to play..thats why you 2 and I are sitting in front of our comps, typing on a forum and not playing.. :p So drop it, if you don't like the sport..just say you don't like it and thats it...quit crying over it here.

Re: Yankees!

I play football, I'm a halfback for my high school team, so don't go saying that I don't know anything about football. All I do is hear the play, and run what I'm supposed to do while looking out for people diving at me. That's how I see it and I score pretty often too...

And with baseball, the play calling is actually hard because like I said, you never know what is going to happen next.

End of story. You don't like baseball, and I don't like football that much.
