Xbox Sales
From Gamerfeed:
"According to Microsoft, since the Xbox was launched back in November of 2001, the console has sold 9.4 million units worldwide (total during fiscal 2003 was 5.5 million). MS also stated that they expect the Xbox to be somewhere in the range of 14.5 and 16 million units sold by June 2004. Although the price cut may have helped, chief Xbox officer, Robbie Bach doesn't believe its impact was very significant. "Certainly the price cut probably had some effect, though I think most people would tell you the effect has been pretty modest."
To break down the numbers for you, the majority of the installed base is in North America (something you probably knew already right?) where 6.2 million units have been sold. 2.2 million have been sold in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and lastly, 1 million in the Asia-Pacific region -- Japan primarily."
