Why is the PS2 better than the Xbox/Gamecube?

Do you think it's better? If so then why?

Here's what I think makes it better:

Most supported system
Most games
Continuing series from past (PSX) favourties
Square & Enix loving
Home for console/Japanese RPGs
GTA series exclusivity
Backwards compatability
 
because u can make it vertically stand on it's most weakest point!!!!!!!!

an Arcade stick is better
but out of the controllers
yes it does have the best controller for fighters

I like XBOX, but I have a PS2
PS2 is good because of it's wide variety

First of all, X-Box is too heavy and big to lug around to friends houses. PS2 is a nice lightweight system with MUCH MUCH smaller controllers for any type of game. But I have to hand it to X-Box, they knew that their controllers were too big, so they made smaller ones. But they are still bigger than PS2 controllers.

PS2 has a lot more games, but X-Box has better graphics. But overall, I say PS2 is MUCH better.

I have normal size hands for a man and the Duke (the original controler) is perfect, I can play for hours and not have one problem with my hand cramping or blisters. Unlike my PS2 & GameCube controllers where I can only play for a limited amount of time before my hand begins to cramp and I have to snap my knucles. I really don't like the Controller-S for the Xbox it's too small for my tastes and I personally go to EB looking for more Dukes.

I wouldnt lug my PS2 or Xbox around, but I could if I wanted to jesus the most either of them way it 10-15 pounds. Lift some weights girly man lol. But the GC I move everywhere around my house, the little handle on the back comes in handy.

I lug the Xbox around everywhere and i don't even have the screws in it so i can fiddle with the motherboard. The ps2 just collects mad dust.

You actually have a point about it picking up dust. That's all mine does.

And how do you fiddle about with the mobo NastyMan? WHat is there actually to do with it? lol

I ain't Nastyman and I've been installing and messing around with a modchip as of late and I'm considering upgrading the HDD. I leave the screws out so I can easily get into and out of the system. Plus you can actually do LAN gaming with the Xbox as opposed to the PS2. :p

Sorry about calling you NastyMan, I read the posts wrong, haha. Upgrading the HDD on the PS2 wouldn't be bad at all.

But why can't you hook up a few PS2's to a hub/router so you can have a LAN party? And what makes it so the X-Box can do that?

Because games take advantage of the LAN set up on the Xbox mainly due to the ethernet card being standard in the box while the PS2 you have to buy the network adapter, so fewer PS2 gamers will have a LAN option. Also I keep my XBOX unscrewed not the PS2, my PS2 is modded and was a major pain in the ass to do so. I'd never want to take that crap apart again, if you know how hard it is to take apart and mess with a PS2 you wouldn;t want to fuck with it's guts either.

Hey Einstein, if you want to be an idiot like everyone else, just claim the Xbox is black. That settles your "I don't like green too much" problem. And who the hell carries their Xbox around with them every freakin' second of the day (except the two idiots above)? NOBODY! Who cares about what the system looks like. Hell, the GameCube is a fuckin' lunchbox. What matters are the games it plays. While PS2 maybe the most supported system, it clearly doesn't have the better games.

But, you know, it's pretty obvious that 99.9% of the people who judge a console, never look at the game titles. They judge the system by how it looks and if it's "too bulky" or "not the right color".

I consider them idiots. Why should I have to move my Xbox to go to a LAN party? Why shouldn't they have to bring their Xbox to my house?
