Ok i'm going to make a rough list of news and people who are posting it

Microsoft Xbox:
SkyFinch
Adam

GameCube:
Sonic X
Ice Knight

PlayStation 2:

???

Unassigned:

Videodrome(will you post news?)

I don't know if Videodrome want's to post news or not i know vicman is eager to and we need to know if he is going to post PS2 news or if some of you would like to be switched around.

Also remember:
Try to post at least one news article a day, make sure someone else hasn't posted the news for whatever your posting.

I'll edit this post once people post what they wanna do.
 
I'm kind of interested. What is involved exactly? Just rewriting press releases into an article and arranging any pictures that come with it?

Pretty Much or anything else you see fit to be posted. It's very simple. It's like posting on here except for it's on the main site.

The purpose of this forum is akuma has access to more PR stuff then some of us do so he posts stuff here so others can. But other news you obviously read can be posted.

On Arranging People, it's not necessary but i would find it more routine.

And Vicman you can be the multi-news poster if you wish since we have alot of people now :D
 
Ok lemme be honest. The other day I was raring to go, I posted a couple of articles and I was learning how to do it. I scoured the net for news worthy stuff and I found something juicy.
Then a few hours later my news posts were moved from the front page. I asked why and got no answer. The move of the "Peter Moore signs w/ Microsoft" really bugged me because it was plastered all over the net as BIG news, worthy of the front page, I felt having it on the front page let ppl know who read the ealier "Peter Moore leaves Sega, reason unknown" find out what happened.

I'm not trying to cause problems but I just want to know what goes in the frontpage and what doesn't, cause it kinda discouraged me after not hearing why my post was moved. :'(

Ive been up all day until now but i'll answer your question partially and were not angry with you or anything. When the site first started i did the gamecube news finch xbox and akuma ps2. Also akuma handled most of the front page stuff. Now that his baby is out he has little less time. I'm sure sometime today he will reply as to why he moved it.

But for the most part BIG IMPORTANT NEWS does go on the frontpage. And I Agree with you that was important enough. :scrump: Maybe he mis-read it.
 
I have a question/suggestion. I'm more than willing to find tons of info as I already peruse the net for gaming info daily, but i don't have the time to post as often as some of you. Would you guys like it if I found the info and gave you links and let you guys handle the writing up the piece, posting, etc.? Like an NGG newshound if you will! :)

No dude, that's the first article, it has nothing about Peter Moore joing Microsoft as V.P. of European & Asian Xbox Marketing and retail sales. My article was the important follow up on why he left.

Oh, my bad. I should have read them insted of just skimming. Well it would be wierd to move it to the front page so late, but if something like this happens again just shoot me a PM and we will get it worked out.

Ice, make sure you have a full intro paragraph when you post the news, not just the first sentence man.
 
Guys, we need a pic for Multiplatform news. Evertime I post multiplatform news to the front page I get a red X pic along side it when I select "all topics". How about just a small gif by Sky or something saying "MULTI"?
