Yeah I wish I could post up MP3s or something but I wouldn't want to get this site in trouble.

I don't think I have ever seen someone purchase so much music, Vid are you looking to break into the music biz or something?

[Edit]
And the RIAA complains about people downloading music, as long as they have Vid around there is nothing for them to worry about.

I think you keep them in business lol.

Werd. My Guzzlefish online music catalog now has 240 CDs. Add about 7 to that wich are unavailable in their database.

I will say that for a long time I wasn't much more than a casual music listener until I started using the internet to find bands. Also I used to be able to get MTV2 before it became a clone of it's predecessor. MTV2 gets credit because that's where I first saw a Björk music video and was awed by it. Finding her renewed my interest in music. The only other person I'd come across with music like that before was Peter Gabriel. Searching for Björk's music also got me into searching for bands in different places like Iceland wich has lead me to Johann Johannsson, Sigur Ros, Apparat Organ Quartet, Emiliana Torrini(who performed Gollum's Song in The Two Towers), and GusGus.

Another factor is I got to know someone else who used to work at my station that is a big music fanatic as well with a collection nearing 500 CDs.

So working a night shift with internet access I look up music on the net when I'm bored. Amazon music lists are a terrific resource for finding stuff.

I've also started to learn playing keyboard. The one good song I have nailed down so far is the melody line from Enya: Only Time.

I know what Vid's talking about, if it weren't for the net I wouldn't know of half the bands I now enjoy, which would suck....

I have probably like 80 cd's right now, but that's only due to a lack of funds, I could name atleast 50 more discs from bands I want but can't afford. Hell probably more like a hundred cds I want.

LOL, and Amazon.com music is a GREAT place to find new bands, that's where I heard of Within Temptation and Lullacry for example, both of them are some of my fave bands ever.

Especially Within Temptation, damn it's like my ears go to heaven every time I hear a song from them.

Wasting countless hours at work on message forums is another good way to learn about new music and other entertainment to. ;)

I'm not getting any new CDs until I get my Telecaster.

But, when I do get it, I want to try to get a Goldfrapp CD and DJ Shadow's first CD that I've always wanted.

Also, I might jump in and buy a Bjork CD instead of downloading various songs from her :)

Björk has a Greatest Hits album so that might be the best place to start.

Yeah but I dunno, then they'll have just the "greatest hits" on various CDs and then when I buy the CDs that those songs are on I have already heard those songs. I just wanna buy the original albums that the songs have come on :) I'm just like that, for some reason.

I'd suggest starting with Homogenic then because it has Hunter, Joga, and Bachelorette wich are really fantastic.

Yeah I want all of them but I think Homogenic has the freaky CD cover :( I'll still try to get it though.
