What do you guys think of Outkast?

I actually HATE, let me stress the word HATE, rap, "hip-hop" if you will, I think it's pretty pathetic, and the only thing worse are the music videos.

But I have been hearing Outkast's stuff on tv and the radio for several years now and I totally respect and can actually say I enjoy their stuff, what do you guys think of 'em?

Outkast has talent and LOTS of it, there not really a hip-hop group if you think about it... they sing a lot of diffrent types of music. I personally like both hip-hop & rock & roll, outkast fits in with both.

I've only heard a couple of their tracks so I really can't judge anything about them. But the tracks I did hear were pretty cool.

eh they're all right, i usually hate all the mainstream rap/hip hop "artists" (though there are a few lesser knowns that i dont mind) but i dont mind hearing some of their songs. the songs ive heard that i dont hate are bombs over baghdad......... well i think there's a couple more i cant think of right now. but yeah they could be worse i guess.

I like them...I like how they are just to guys....with 2 different albums...and both are top 10. I hate rap also...but I like them.

?? im pretty sure they have more than 2 albums..... i can name stankonia and that new one (speakerboxxx?) off the top of my head. then they had at least one earlier one before stankonia with the rosa parks song on it, and that skew it on the bar-bee song on it (or maybe that was stankonia?). i dunno im confused.

They do have one more album, it's their first album, but I can't remember the name of it.

New CoF sucks compared ot their first couple of albums. I own their first 4-5 albums and i like the earlier stuff much more.

Arguably true, Damnation is their worst, but it was their first disc I bought and damn I enjoyed the hell out of it, and it is actually very good, but it just doesn't have as big a evil feeling to it as older stuff.


My faves are:

"Cruelty and the Beast"

"Midian"

"Bitter suites to Succubi"



And my FAVE COF song ever has to be: "All hope in eclipse"
