Want to work in 3D but can't afford the Highend products?

Check out GMAX:

http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/

It's Discreets free 3D design program, it's a dumbed down version of 3Ds Max for the people who don't want to spend mass amounts of money to try there hand at 3D design. Let me know if you download it and create anything. The posts would be welcome in this forum... lets see some damn artwork!

If any of you have downloaded GMAX and are lost you can check out these video tutorials for some help:

http://www.gmaxsupport.com/html/download.asp

There are also a good amount of VTMs for 3Ds Max at:

http://www.3dbuzz.com

Since GMAX is so close to 3Ds Max (Just missing some rendering options and a few other things.) the tutorials found at 3dbuzz should work fine for anyone new to designing in a 3D based application.

...and then you splooged all over the keyboard.

very nice free open source 3d rendering software. Low Bandwidth (kindof) friendly as well.

Yeah I was at the bookstore not too long ago and was flipping through a book on Blender, looks awesome.
