The U.S. Version of Sonic X Sucks, But The Japanese Version Rules!

i watched it the other day for the hell of it and was unimpressed.

i used to love the original sonic the hedgehog cartoon when i was a kid, so many plot twists like when they reveal robotnik was once his adopted brother, and in some episodes sonic would try to discover his dad who is all metal and stuff.

Lol, the one you're referring to is the one the current comic closely follows. Steve Urkle did sonic's voice etc. There was also the original fox one that was more like a comedy cartoon where they just messed with sonic. Then there was underground, i dunno wtf they were smoking.

Notice how much more kick ass the Japan Version is? More Style, More people and better lyrics lol.

The animation kicks ass, it resembles the sonic adventure style, the US Dialogue sucks for the most part though.

Adam, of course the japanese version is always better, but i figured it wouldnt be as horrible sort of like dragon ball, stupid dialogue which ruins the true feel and voices etc.(which i dont care much for anyways).
 
Sonic, do you remember which version was like the more serious one? I just remember being in like kindergarten and watching one that reminded me of the real world in Matrix.. "Sonic, the hedgehog.... Too fast.. For the naked eye.."

I remember loving that one, and then that gay one with the idiot robots came on and it started to suck. Then the even more ghey one where he was in a band or some shit. The original one I remember was the shiznit :rock:

Most people call it the SatAM or Saturday AM, it came on saturday mornings on ABC. There is also a 2 episode anime. If you search SatAM Sonic or something in google youll be able to find more information, also, if you go to archies website youll find info on the sonic comic, which is based on that cartoon.

The japanese opening for Sonic X makes me go :woowoo: though lol.

I just did a little search on that SatAM Sonic, and it is the one I was thinking of. I wanna download those episodes now, but I doubt I'll be able to find em :rolleyes:
 
i loved saturday morning cartoons. ah man, there is nothing greater. GREAT times, reminiscing... carefree days.... me and my brother would be getting ready for our soccer games and putting on our cleats and crap while watching sonic and all the others... good times....

well my connection has sped up since then a little. we switched out the surge protector we were using for a newer one we had and the download went from 20k to 158k. which leads me to believe are problems may be a result of old hardware, ie surge protectors, phone lines, etc...
