The Ring DVD

I've been waiting for this crazy movie to come out and I just picked it up the day it was released. It's quite low on extras. It includes a trailer for the Japanese version Ringu and a few other trailers, an interesting add-on video that is kind of a montage of deleted scenes that adds a little to the film's story, as well as my favorite extra wich is an easter egg that allows you to view the killer video by itself separete from the movie. Surprisingly though this DVD doesn't include any commentary tracks.

You sure you want to do that?

(I have not watched this film yet, but I most likely will in the next couple of days. It sounded retarded when I heard what it was about, but then everyone was saying it was good so I guess I got to see it.)

It's hard to say precisely because reality becomes very blurred in this movie. Max Renn begins to live in a world that is half video induced hallucination from a subliminal signal called Videodrome. In that scene he is having his mind reprogrammed to murder his television station partners so that Videodrome can takeover and have it's first live broadcast to the public. Eventually Max is freed from the program by an enemy of Videodrome named Bianca O'Blivion and he murders their leader and then kills himself when he succumbs to the visions.

personally i disliked the ring after seeing ringu. the ring is like a lighter version of the japanese movie, ringu. see this one (ringu) if u see either

Hey PopeBojangles, fist off, welcome to the forums. Second, can you give us more info about Ringu? (Like, what makes it better) Cause I might want to check out that version

I can I rented it and should be watching it in the next few days....
As for the ring...
Pretty good.....
and Ringu is not the Japanese version.... it is the original.. the ring is the English version..

yeah you have to see ringu it's better...at least that's what my math teacher told me! hehe
he watches a lot of movies (even anime) but has a special affinity to weird movies...the cube anyone? (even though I liked that one) anyway, he told me that Ringu is better than the ring in every aspect, so...trust math and see that one! :D

I started watching Ringu and turned it off..
Opening was the EXACT same thing as the ring except instead of you seeing her face the screen just goes greyscale..

I saw this on tuesaday night an man was I scared. I don't care what yo guys say I was scared. I could even turn off the xbox and tv I was so scared.:)
