I rented this on DVD and thought it was excellent.
Based on the true story of a Jewish musician in Poland trying to survive during World War 2. The character endures isolation in different rooms so much while avoiding Nazis it sometimes reminds me of Castaway. There does come a point after a while when I started to wonder if the movie is going anywhere and that's when a great payoff scene occurs when the main character is finally found by a German soldier.
The battle sounds and piano music were really good even on my cheapo surround sound. I'm considering buying the soundtrack CD.
