The New Thread Status Icons

I really dislike the new thread status icons. Their picture and color are all far too similar to discern a thread with a new post from a thread without a new post. I would recommend having some very varied colors. Threads with no new posts should always be the same color (a dark red perhaps) and threads/hot threads with new posts could have two different colors or the same color and two icons. Either way please make a way to tell the difference.
 
Okay, I was looking at the icon and it has a lot of potential. If the border was a brigter color (the deep blue looks too much like black, I'd go for the blue you use for the scroll bars) for threads with new posts and the 'dot' was red for hot topics that would be work out really well.
 
or maybe because the threads I was looking at weren't hot, you didn't. I think the circle should go in the middle and be red when it's hot, and the boarder should have the color of a not-hot post. Kinda like 'this thread is on target'. The locked post should be red with a splintering motif.

I uploaded a brighter one for newer post(finch sent it to me obviously). As for the hot icons those are going to have to be made at another time.(Finch is still having problems with photoshop freezing on his home pc)

Sometimes when ps freezes, I run into the corner of my room, take off all my clothes, then cry. (Sometimes I piss...but that's before ps freezes)

If you didnt know: everytime your ps freezes a angel dies, that and you pissin in the corner is gonna be the death of me... :shock:
