There's also plug-ins to allow it to play music and movies. For movies, it's cool because you can speed up and slow down the frame rate.

But it's mainly a picture viewer. Can read just about every format, including unflattened PSD files. There is also a thumbnail viewer, slideshow option, even batch convertion and renaming. Even has options to resize/sample, adjust colours, sharpen.....and a whole lot more. Check it out. It's a small program that does a lot.

i like windows xp picture viewer but i will check out this viewer

I use ACDSee as my picture viewer, and since I've never had any problems with it, I'm not switching..and i don't like red bears...

I have Irfanview on All of my computers... I use it for resizing images too and adjusting brightness... It's alot quicker then booting up Photoshop or something..
