strange question about video and frame rates...
A long time ago, some dude over at TXB posted a video of Jet Set Radio Future. It was very high res, but the thing that was odd, and I've never seen this on my pc before, was that it ran at 60 fps. Now, I'm not sure if it was a true 60 or if it was 30 and but rendered using fields. (rendering in fields is when every other frame is sort of interlaced with the previous and next frame, making it seem as if it's going a lot smoother, almost double the normal rate) Thing is, I don't think it's possible for a PC to replay something rendered in fields. I try it in Maya, and when I render out and play it back, it's smooth, but completely distorted. It's more for the TV.
Now, my question is. is it possible to make videos run at true 60fps on PCs?
I never see the option in 3d programs, video editing programs, etc....
Damn, I wish I still had that video. :scurred:
