Splinter Cell 2

Any love for this game? It looks amazing. If I were to ever get XBL again, it would be for this game, but most of us know how great this game was in single player mode. By the way, this smilie looks funny---> :scurred:

Re: Splinter Cell 2

i dunno, i have been playing a lot of splinter cell (original) lately though.

Re: Splinter Cell 2

I just picked up this game. There is a promotion where you get $5 extra for each game you trade in towards this game, in addition, the game itself is $5 off. So I traded in a couple games, including Splinter Cell 1 (minus the manual) and only had to pay $18 difference.

Early impressions.....very good, although some of the things I wanted fixed, doesn't seem to have fixed. Graphics aren't a leap forward as I was expecting, nothing like what Rallisport 2 is to Rallisport 1. Voice acting seems to have taken a major hit. Sam still sounds cool, but everyone else sounds as if they're reading off a page.

uh oh, I hope this doesn’t turn out to be a game where they concentrated on the MP aspect only and just flushed out the rest of the game to give it some bulk.

Re: Splinter Cell 2

It's cool. Everything has gotten better the further you get into the game. It's living up to all the hype.

Most people have seen the train level from videos and pics, but wait till you see it in motion. I'm trying to get to the jungle-like level, but it's a pretty difficult game. They remapped the button layout slightly, so you'll have to adjust.

I'll put together a full review starting Saturday, so it should be done Sunday.

Re: Splinter Cell 2

i heard the multiplayer was really original with teams that combined both firepower and stealth aspects. sounded pretty fun

Re: Splinter Cell 2

Holy crap!! The jungle level is insane. The way the foliage crumples as you walk over it is amazing. I've never seen anything like it in a video game before.

Re: Splinter Cell 2

Yeah ppl are giving it 9's and 10's all around.SC:PT and Ninja Gaiden are really making me want to go out and buy a game instead of holding off ordering a chip.

Re: Splinter Cell 2

I don't know about Ninja Gaiden, although I hear it's hard, Splinter Cell's difficulty level is insane at times. A LOT of re-doing levels, cause you don't know what the heck you're supposed to be doing. But if you like the first game, the second one is well worth the money. This is one of those games that should bring in more XBL users, not just for the muliplayer, but because Ubisoft has been one of the best in the industry when it comes to DL content. Easily my favorite game of all time. Ubisoft should be commended for releasing a triple A title in only a couple years. They're becoming the best developers out there.

Re: Splinter Cell 2

I really enjoyed the first one a lot even through some of the frustrating levels. The download levels were really tricky but fun. I definitely plan to get Pandora Tommorow.

The LIVE game seems kind of small with only 4 players but I'll see how it turns out.

Re: Splinter Cell 2

Wow, that didn't take long. :O I just beat the game (on normal setting)

Edit, the game is about one and half times the length of the first game. But the only reason I cleared it so quickly is because I beat the first game at least a dozen times, and it had become my favorite game of all time. Everything about the game was second nature. Also, I didn't spend any time what so ever, shooting windows or objects.....just made my way through the levels as fast as I could, so that I knew what to expect for when I write my review. Again, if you like the first one, this is a must buy.

I knew how much you liked the first game, Ice. You should grab a few dollars from you piggy bank and at least give it a rental.

And it's Morgan Webb from Xplay.

Re: Splinter Cell 2

Oh that chick! Now i remember. I like her personality and her smile, too bad she's not what I'd normally consider hot. Weird then that I find myself thinking she's kinda cute. Not many chicks who don't fall within my physical parameters do that.

Re: Splinter Cell 2

I'm sure i'll play it sometime, the first was really awesome, and the difficulty was just right, personally I didn't mind having to replay through area's cuz I fucked something up, it just gave me a chance to try it differently...

Re: Splinter Cell 2

Review should be done later tonight...

I played through the game for a second time, and it just keeps getting better and better. I can even get through a lot of the missions without been seen once.
