The actress may not be finished with Buffy, however. Plans are afoot to create a spin-off, utilizing some of the characters from the original show. Gellar would not be a regular on the series but would make an occasional guest appearance.

Nerf Herder will help bid Buffy goodbye with an appearance on the final episode of the vampire-slaying saga.
It's a fitting end, as Nerf Herder provided the first notes heard on the show each night, as it provided Buffy the Vampire Slayer with its theme song.
The episode will air May 20.
Looks like the end of the show will be the best episode yet. But the possibility of sarah guest starring on a spin-off is great news.
As Far As Angel goes it will more then likely continue to another season even though it's ratings haven't been great, but ratings are always bull shit to me. I haven't heard or read any new about "The Ripper" which is a spin-off that would star Giles from Buffy, but it would more then likely only air in the U.K.
