So Long for what's good on Television.

Well, most people say there isn't alot on TV now-a-days but there is stuff on their right now. The problem is, almost every big time cult show i can think of is/or most likely dissappearing this year.

FireFly the show created by the guy who made buffy was canceled on it's fourth episode of airing when it could have been the next farscape.

Farscape is ending it's last season and the storyline will continue through an anime. I haven't seen any concept art or fail to see how this show will work as an anime. Farscape is definitely one of my favorite space type shows, but i just can't see it working as an anime. Also, after all the whining about money Sci-Fi channel does they replace it with the worst idea to ever hit the TV since Barney, Tremors: The Series. I think it's obvious this has already failed. They also cancelled The Invisible man which was another good show.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has made it official, both the creator and Sarah Michelle Gellar have said it will be their last season with the show. The spinoff series "Angel" has a slight chance of having another season due to the fact that it will only be renewed if The WB doesn't find a show that is more promising. The good thing is they have worked a cross over with both shows finally after all this time before the show does end, so fan's will hopefully get the Series finale we have all been waiting for. The spinoff for the character Giles seems to still be up in the air. And Elisha Dushku turned down the offered spinoff for her own shown based on buffy for a show on fox entitled "Heroine" which has like a 0.00000000000001% chance of surviving on fox knowing them(No Offence, Videodrome ;) ) Not to say the show will be bad either.

The creator also stated he will definitely continue the "Buffy Universe" in one way or another in some sort of spinoff, possibly one based on her younger sister Dawn(i doubt she could be the center for the show) or Willow(The main character being a lesbian, might make it hard for the show itself). But the only definitive decision that has been made is that he will make another spinoff but is not in any rush to do so.

So that leaves us with Charmed, which i occasionally watch. And nothing else really i can think of even worthy of mentioning. Sci-Fi channel doesn't even pick up alot of the shows you think they would being THE SCI-FI CHANNEL! for god's sake. And i don't care for Smallville because it's just a borefest of what a superman show could be. Birds of Prey, the show based on the comic where batman leaves gotham, and his daughter, who is born from cat-woman and batman. Is left to watch over the town with The Oracle(Formerly Bat Girl) who is a tech genius. And the 3rd character who is new which i won't go into detail with. The show looked good to begin with and the wb almost advertised it like it was some kind of porno instead of a show. It finished it's first season promptly and was cancelled.

So that leaves us with no sci-fi and a buncha real life rip off's in other genre's.

*hopes for some good new show to take up the horizon of boredom(prays the new buffy spinoff will rock also)*

Maybe I'll get to see another batch of FOX pilot episodes soon. I'll post what kind of shows to look for. I got to see The Tick a year before it ever aired on television.

It's still a bummer that they tried to make The Lonegunmen into comedy.

Lonegunmen was better then anything else on in its time schedule when it first went on air . ;\ i was so bored hehe. the tick was horrible i thought awwell.

oooh ya do u know if titus will be back . i loved that show ;)

Aye, they haven't even given half of their new shows a chance. Alot of them had potential but oh well. I kinda feel the same about The Lonegunmen, but it did turn out funny. Lemme know if any cool sci-fi stuff pop's up :D

Aww, no way the Tick was cool in it's own wierd way but cool none the less. I liked the cartoon to begin with maybe that is why.

i dont know how im gunna cope:shock:

Yea, i know how you feel. It would be cool if Angel went on but it sorta wouldn't make sense or feel right without buffy being around. Since stuff would still have to be happening in the same universe for them all. Hopefully Giles show will have alot of interesting things in it and guest appearances if it ever get's made and i hope they air it in the US. The next spinoff will be cool but without SMG it just doesn't feel the same.
 *goes on epic quest to force them to make one more season*

Tv is really starting to go to hell, only thing that seems to be playing are stupid reality shows and infomercials........

Only thing that plays on my tube (mostly) are dvd's and games.

There are a few shows worth watching but jeez.......
