Resident Evil 0 personal Review

I myself have never considered myself a fan of the RE series. I did play them all on psx and bought Code Veronica but never got around to play. Then when I purchased my Gamecube I decided to see how well Capcom could use the amazing power of the Gamecube. The RE remake amazed me and I became a bigger fan of the series. As any fan would do I purchased RE0 the day it was released. I had my doubts about the game when I first read you control 2 characters at once. Of course to my suprise Capcom once again showed me that they know how to make games. The AI on the alt character is very simple but the fact you can still control the person helps out in tight situations. When you are surrounded by zombies and the AI insist that it shoots the same zombie as you all you have to do is move the C stick and AI auto targets a different zombie and starts to blast away. The other issue I had with the game was the fact they took out boxes. At first I did not know that you could drop items on the ground so I was thinking great this game will have alot of backtracking just to get an item. Well the game does have some backtracking but that is expected in RE games. Dropping items is what makes your play time jump up in the high numbers so unless you plan out exactly what you need and where to place it for easy access you will have lots of runing around to do. On to the story. Being that RE is a series and most of the stories overlap in time frames this story stands alone and is a good way for the RE newbie to jump in and start the series.

On to the ratings.

Gameplay: 9/10
Typical RE controls but with the addition of the 2nd character the double movement was implimented nicely.

Graphics: 10/10
Outstanding lighting. Realistic textures. What more do you expect from Capcom.

Sound: 9/10
Hearing the footsteps on the iron stairs while the noise of ambient wind blows past you gives the game a creepier feel. The one thing I have never really liked is the battle music. The game is here to scare you do not blast music when a zombie is near.

Replay: 8/10
Some minor stuff to unlock. Costumes, weapons, and game modes. Difficulty unlocking the extras because of the time it takes to trade and retrieve items.

Nice review looks like ill have to rent it, the two characters being in the game should make it a little \"less\" scarier. LoL

Code veronica was PHAT !!!

Coda Veronica was and still is the best, IMO. Man! The camera...AMAZING. I was so sick of pre-rendered backdrops! Ack! I wish they would bring a game simaler to Code Veronica to the Xbox! THAT WOULD FRIGGIN\' ROCK! Anyone ever beat CV? The end boss was fuckin\' cool!
