Re

Is anyone planning on seeing the new Resident Evil movie that debuts this Friday?

I am. I hated the first one, mainly because of the music and the cheesy plot. But this one looks to be more action oriented and seems to follow the game's plot more closely.

On a side note, I am probably the only fool in the world who disliked the new Spiderman movie. I enjoyed seeing Kirsten Dunst, cause I love her, but disliked both movies otherwise.

Re: Re

Hey Smiley..I moved your thread to here...

I liked the first RE..and yea, I can't wait to see the RE2.

I didn't dislike the movie..I still thought the first Spiderman was a little better then the second, but the second wasn't all that bad. It had great Special Effects, and a decent story.

Re: Re

I have always been a fan of the game franchise, so naturally, I also love the movies.

I also love the woman playing the main character in both movies. Cannot recall the name, but she is hot!!

Re: Re

I did not like both Spiderman movies, I really never liked Spiderman in general. Same with Batman, they are the little girls of the SuperHero world.

The new RE looks like it will be cool, unlike most I enjoyed the first one becuase I never expected more then a bunch of explosions and other fancy hollywood crap. Face it the RE storyline isn't a gripping novel or anything, it's just fun and the movies follow that.

Re: Re

The evil green dude from the first spiderman movie was a joke. And the CG, although good, was not seamless. You knew exactly when spiderman was CG, and when he was a live actor. And I'm not a fan of Kirsten Dunst or the dude who played Spiderman. I won't even rent the second one.

Resident Evil, at least for me, was one of the best videogame to movie franchises ever. I was hoping the first movie would follow the game in terms of Characters, but it turned out better than expected. Does anyone know if the second one will be rated R?

Re: Re

Yeah, my bad. I neglected to see that Shaggy had already made a thread about the movie.....

And it was too bad that the Alien versus Predator movie wasn't rated R. Otherwise it might have been something I had enjoyed. As it was, I was disapointed as a long time fan of the Alien movies....
I guess they had the AVP movie rated PG-13, so that it would appeal to a younger audience. But in doing that, I believe they alienated their hardcore fans.

Or perhaps I am reading way too much into it.....
