Photoshop question! =)

First of all this is a newbie question, how do I make pics look like they are fading?
you know like a lot of wallpapers (or some of ure signatures) are...

Put each image onto its own layer. From there, you can change the opacity (which is the little scroll bar in the "layer' window)

Or, you can use the eraser tool with an airbrush.

You have to make sure the images are all overlapping to be able to get effect to work. Once you've done this, grab the eraser tool, and simply erase the overlapping layer and everything should blend together. It's best that you find pics that have the same values, this will make you job easier.

or, if you have the dodge tool, you do put it on their own layer, and use the tool for each farthest layer.

the avatar or the signature? the signature I made it (woot! =P)
and the avatar is from a really old anime called saint seiya, the one in my avatar is camus the acquarius (or whatever the zodiac sign is) saint, he is my favorite, just use google and look for saint seiya
