OMFG, More gba special editions....

You thought that thee whole special edition gba was finished with the nes version, right?
Wrong, apprently Nintendo is planning more:

The first is nothing special. It is a "Who are you" gba based on their new "agressive" marketing slogan.

The next one is the Legend of Zelda special edition, to be released in a bundle with the latest gb legend of zelda game. This package will be released in November for 89 pounds.

So what's that make? 157 versions of the gameboy?

Re: OMFG, More gba special editions....

Something like that. It seems to me that Nintendo is attemptng to squeeze EVERY last penny out of the gba sp before imo, it is replaced by the DS.

But if anyone can make these things sell, it would be Nintendo. Anyway, in Japan, those special edition crao, is always a big seller....

Re: OMFG, More gba special editions....

Yeah, I know. Could not get them to work, even though I cut and pasted them from the original source..

Anway, the only one that even appeals to me, is the Legend of Zelda one, but that is only cause I am a Link geek. I could care less about the others, really....

Re: OMFG, More gba special editions....

Yeah, I finally got most of the pictures, except the first one, to show up.
Quick. Someone shake my hand and call me an idiot....

Anway, as you can plainly see, these new gameboys that Nintendo is planning, are basically just regular ones with different color schemes....
Nuffing special.

Which begs the question---Why is Nintendo going out of its' way to mass produce these things, when they have a new portable coming out. Unless you are a serious geek, and have to have EVERY single gameboy released, why would ANYONE buy these?

The answer, I will reiterate and say, it is money. Although they won't admit it, I believe that the ds is the gameboy's sucessor. And this is Nintendo's attempt to regain some of the money that they have lost, possibly with the gamecube, so as to further suppourt it. That is merely speculation, though. IMO.....
