OFFICIAL Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines thread!

It's out, I havn't seen it, (no DVD out yet) who has seen it? lets here some thoughts. I guess it's better than expected, not as good as T2, but what is? If it's as decent as i've heard thats great cuz I would hate to see such a great franchise take a dump.
 
I thought it was a good flick, pumpkinfan hated it becuase there was no Larenzo Lamas (THE RENEGADE!) in it.

It was ok... I didn't hate it, but I had much higher expectations when I went to the theater because of T2. But its definately worth watching if you liked the first 2. Unless you are the gh3y.
 
I thought it was awesome, all those people trying to say it was a complete re-tread were morons. The movie is like a little bit of T2 mixed with some new added storyline to the series. The chick sent to destroy john connor is one sexy bot, i'd reprogram it!

But seriously, the movie has ton's of humor and doesn't copy off of T2 like you think it would from the previews, the premise is the same as T2, but the general arc of the storyline isn't. You actually get to see the rise of the machines "i won't ruin it" and the special effects and action sequences are great.

There is a great twist in the storyline too, there is alot open and it would make sense now with the current technology to make a movie in the future when the humans are trying to still survive. Because the original didn't have the greatest tecnology when displaying the future.

Cameron Shameron, it would be different if this was an Aliens movie. I think this movie was needed, T2 kind of left you hanging.
 
Oh yes, the director's cut of the original is great. On the commentary it says the investors in the film almost shit their pants when the saw how much carnage was in their movie. :lol:

Yeah that was hilarious.


On the topic of T3 though, it would have been funny if they did a cool version of what Robocop 3 did with the Samurai's! But i love how in this movie(T3) both of the Actor's playing the bot's stiffended there movement to make them robot-like.
