wth , what horror movie has anyone won a actor award or comedy for that matter , i was told there alot of nudity and gore, thats good enough for me .

also was told it is better then all of the friday the 13th and nightmare's .:scrump:
 
i heard it was great, i may see it tomorrow. fawkin school starts on monday, so next week is out of the question :rolleyes:
 
I'll see it after I watch Versus. I hear good things but then again the people saying them also loved movies I hated.

It better be good.....that goes for both movies

I liked it, but there were alot of things i disliked too, for those of you laughing at the idea of the movie. First off they hinted at this since the movie "Jason Goes to Hell", when they show freddy's hand pulling his mask into hell. Essentially it was a joke and a welcoming thing when the jason franchise moved over to "New Line Cinema".


Ever since then people have been waiting for it and it was originally supposed to come out in 1998 possibly ealier. Other notes are the same guy who has played Freddy Kruger does in this movie and someone new is playing jason and not the guy who has done the last few.(Kane Hodder)


One thing i really disliked was the way they advertised this movie, they made it seem like the movie was going to put Freddy And Jason in a Boxing ring and declare some sort of official winner. I don't know why that pisses me off it just does... When the movie started one of the ushers was like where are my freddy fans! like 10 people raised there hands and when he asked for the jason fans like the rest of the audience did, i then proceeded to yell NO ONE FREGGIN WINS!

I think people suddenly figured it out when the intro began with freddy using Jason to come back, that it isnt just them fighting for no reason to see who is the best evil do-er.

The story is like this: Freddy has been long forgotten, people need to speak his name and belive in him for him to kill people in their dreams(nightmares). And ever since the original movies a small order of cops and people keep it a secret so freddy can't hurt people. Jason is in a slumber and doesn't have much Reason to kill. But Freddy uses his dream abilites to trick jason into thinking he is his mother and gives him an excuse to kill people on elm street so freddy will be blamed and regain his powers.

I liked the idea but the movie was too much like let's make this one look better and then let's make the other look stronger.

I disliked the fact that the destiny's child girl was in it, i could have done without her even though this is a corny horror movie.

The movie was too centered around Freddy(even though he is my personal favorite), because after awaking jason he gets jealous and can essentially cause the other people to forget about him again. The ending made it seem like Freddy was the ultimate bad guy and that jason was somehow good. But overall it was still a cool way to bring these two 80's horror icons together to finally fight like every horror fanboy has dreamed of. The movie was better then i expected because it played on the strength's and weaknesses of the characters and they actually did fight but it should be obvious that neither dies and there isn't any official winner. Ton's of gore, more then the average movie maybe a little on par with the evil dead but not that close.

The fight scenes were fun, they didn't take it too seriously but it's cool to see two people slashing the shit out of each other like it's nothing. I think the main characters were too cliche with the exception of the people who have claimed to know about freddy. It would have been cool if someone who had some past relation to jason been in the group of people attempting to stop them. And what the hell was up with that wanna be Jay, from jay and silent bob strike back? LOL

Overall 4.5/5 Stars, Better then expected Horror movie but a few minor downers which can be overlooked since this is in the same style as the old ones, a cheesey, but fun horror movie to watch. If you don't like cheesey horror movies stay away and :stfu:

isnt it also kinda odd at the end how it seemed sureal when jason came outta the water holding freddys head and he blinks like maybe it was a Dream ?

That should have been obvious if you've ever seen at least one Nightmare on Elm Street OR Friday the 13th Movie(so many sequels and they have yet to officially die), why in god's name would a company choose to make one of their characters look better or stronger then the other?

Not really here is the proof that the end scene was more then likely a dream, when someone pulls freddy out of the dream world he is supposed to be mortal according to the mythology. Normally if you got your head chopped off and it has been off for a long time you can't do stuff like wink obviously. And Since freddy can control stuff in the dream world, and it resemebles the ending in the first Elm Street movie. IE: Nancy figures out if people don't fear him and belive in him he can't do anything then freddy tricks her but she ends up living but your led to belive she died.
He basically showed her he can still control the dreams and if she gets scarred just a little he retains his powers.

Yea for the time it took to come out i thought it wouldnt had been as good(i'm a fanboy of the old movies) because it had alot to live up to. It kept true to the old horror movies and both the freddy and jason series well. But it's now one of my favorite horror movies. :D

Yea freddy's one liners rock. It would have been cool if that Jay wanna be was actually jay from jay and silent bob strike back, lol i mean the guy was acting like him.

The part where jason impales that guy with the huge pole and launches him and then the pot head saying that goalie was pissed was classic. :rofl:

And yea freddys line about the dead chick: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :lol:

I also liked how in that one scene freddy got red and looked super demonic and his ears got pointy.
