Basically I'll start by saying, if you're a fan of Dawn of the Dead or George Romero's Dead Trilogy in general you'll probably like this film.

I'm am a fan disaster/survival horror stories like this, from Zombie flicks to The Stand, and I really enjoyed this movie's take on the idea and IMO the director came through on making the movie look great visually.

Story wise I liked the mix of the Zombie threat as well as basic survival. Having the Zombies created from a vague biological infection instead of Romero's simple Undead was different but done well. The fast speed of the infection after exposure made for some fascinating scenes. In Romero's movies it was a matter of days to a week while in Boyle's movie it's a matter of seconds.

I'd say about the only disappointment was the soldiers toward the end becoming paranoid rapists. I tend to think it would take more than that to make soldiers crack like that. I would've figured on a militia group or something but that's not really an option in the UK.

In the end what I enjoyed about this in other similiar stories is of course the "What would you do in this situation?" question.

i concur with ya video, i like how they made the zombie real fast , and how the infection toke 5 seconds, i also didn't like about the soldiers but they i liked how they died ;)

I haven't seen it yet and didn't read your first post becuase I didn't want to know any spoilers, but is the movie anything like this:
