ninja gaiden review

I made a review for Ninja Gaiden and it's at xblg and ogp also.

First off if you don’t want to read all of my crap then here’s what I have to say about Ninja Gaiden briefly: it’s awesome. It rocks. It’s better than Halo. Better than Rainbow Six 3. Cooler than cool; hipper than hip. It’s ****ing great. It’s magnificient. Buy it or rent it, at least beat the game once. Play this game.

More in depth though:

slight spoilers on the story below
The story is you’re Ryu Hayabusa, a kick ass ninja who kicks ass with a sword and his foot and with other awesome to the cool stuff. You are off kicking ninja’s ass when Ayane comes to you and tells you you must go to the Hayabusa village. Everyone is dead and after some **** happens you see a girl being killed by Doku, a wicked crazy as Fiend (or of the Vigoor Empire, I forget). So you’re off for vengence and you slash the **** out of your enemies.

Ok first off the gameplay: it’s more addicting than masturbating; it’s more fun than eating chicken wings. It’s FUN. That’s what video games are all about. It’s not realistic or trying to be it or any bull****, it’s a video game and it sets out what its meant to do: to be ****ing fun. And it delivers that, completely and over the railing. IT’S FUN. You pull off dozens of moves with your sword, nunchucks, and all these other weapons. You also have your ninpo spells where you can fire up ninjas or do other spells. IT’S FUN. Pulling off your ninja acrobatics is so easy and it feels natural. It does all of the stuff the guy from Prince of Persia can but it feels smoother in Ninja Gaiden. The controls are sensitive and react well when you press the buttons on the Xbox controller. The combat is just fun. You can button mash but YOU MUST MOTHER ****ING BLOCK. If you DO NOT BLOCK you’re going to get your ninja ass handed to you on a stick with your brains ****ting out. However there are many moves like I said so the combat never feels stale. Also the levels are superb. This is some of the best level designs ever. It’s not really linear actually, there are many stories of buildings and stuff for you to explore and you get in reward items and other goodies. To get to these areas you must utilize your ninja acrobatics. Also the enemies are brutal. They want to spill your blood. They never retreat or be a pansy, they are aggressive ****ers that want you DEAD. Ninja Gaiden gives players a great challenge even when they are up against the weakest enemies. But it’s fun as hell.

Graphics are awesome. You already saw the millions of screens and crap and it looks exactly like that. Yeah that’s all old junk. Oh yeah the CGI scenes are cool. Looks like a CGI movie. Cool. Smooth framerate, although it dips a little in some parts but it’s still lollipops and crisps.

Sound is cool. Voice acting is not bad (in English) but Japanese probably sounds better. You can have English or Japanese voices or have English or Japan subtitles or both of those. Ryu lets out cries of violence when he slashes up enemies and stuff and it all sounds cool. It’s good.

Also there’s that master ninja tournament with scoreboards and stuff (you have to set what country you’re in also) and stuff. I’m only on stage 4 though.

Also, old school gamers may feel some nostalgia in the game. For one thing it’s hard and they throw enemies at you like in the old school tough games, and when you face a boss you get that same feeling when you say fought Ganon in Zelda or something. You know there’s that boss meter and the boss looks ****ing ugly or whatever and it’s great. Good times come back to the 2004 and stuff. It’s cool.

So basically yeah this game is early contender for GOTY IMO. Team Ninja crafted this game so much into a masterpiece that it’s perfect, FOR ME (others may disagree). If you buy this game for fifty bucks you still feel like you should have payed more for it because when you play it the gameplay is superb. Well for me, anyways. I got it free, so like I said at XBLRacing I bet this is what sex feels like.

Oh yeah, this game is pretty ****ing hard.

You don't have to put it up if you don't want to though, cause there's lots of cuss words and stuff.

Also I think another site is going to put that review up also, so I dunno...
 
I'm going to but a review section up in a few days to a week, andI hope that you and others can put in reviews here like you did at the other site. :D

lol nice review, game seems pretty cool. doesnt it come with the original NES version of ninja gaiden too?

Yeah the original three on the nes and snes you find along the way and play them at arcade cabinets found in the game. I don't think you can just select from the game menu or something though.

I hated the demo, but would like to check out the full version just for the cutscenes. Doesn't seem logical, though, as the game sounds like it gets too hard in the later levels....and I don't feel like breaking another controller.
