New Nintendo Portable!

There's news that Nintendo will be releasing a new portable system called the Nintendo DS (Dual Screen). Nintendo has said that this is not the Playstation Portable's competitor because the successor to the GBA is still on it's way. So what exactly is it? Realistically it's something that Nintendo will try to use to steal the impact of the PSP while they bide time for the GBA2, irregardless if Nintendo trys to say it's not competition for the PSP. I personally think it's a lame attempt and think Nintendo needs to not try another "virtual boy".

Why is Sony coming out with a portable now? Are they not satisfied with there gaming consoles sales or something? I'm just wondering why after 8-9 years in the business they finally decide to come out with a portable.

That thing has like 10 screens! Not only would it cost a shitload to buy one but wtf it's weird, how would it fold with all those screens, they are hinged, and it according to the descriptionsfor each screen is good mainly for fps's.

I thought about putting this in the general gaming forum but figured it would fit fine enough in the GC forum since it's about Nintendo.
