Need help with Sega Saturn.....

Wasn't sure if anyone could help with this problem I am having with my modded Saturn, but here goes. I had my Saturn internally modded with, I think a BIOS chip about a year ago. And I also need to use one of those Action Replay Plus carts, which is a 4mb expansion, memory manager, and cheat enabler. Anyway, periodically, it will not load import games, and state that "this game is not suitable for this system."

Sometimes it happens more than other....
And usually, I can clean it with water and a q-tip to get it working fine, for a while. And then, sometimes, later, it will not work again.

I reckon that it must be the cart, cause the ARP screen doesn't load when playing a domestic game either.....

But I am not an expert. And the shop which installed the chip, is no longer in business, so I cannot complain to the.

Any help would be greatlt appreciated. Or maybe I should just get one of those Saturn ST key. It does the same thing as the ARP, without the memory and the cheat enabler....

Re: Need help with Sega Saturn.....

What you need is the saturn convert prog that allows you to change the region of the backed up game your using, assuming you're using them. Gimme your email via Private Message and I'll send it to you. Now if you're having problems getting legit import games to play there's a trick to it that I've used. I just can't seem to remember it now so I'll do a lil search and get back to you on it.

Re: Need help with Sega Saturn.....

I am just using a internal mod chip, I think it might be just a BIOS swap, but I am not sure. But like I said, I am also using the ARP cart.

I will pm my e-mail.
Thanks again for your help.....
