My Ford Focus model.

I've been working on this on and off for a while. He's an update.
Only have 2 lights in the scene at the moment, and the textures are more or less, temporary for now.

Here's a rough tire animation. I grouped it wrong so the brake pad is rotating when it should be still.

Excellent work. Yeah, all of the textures suck except for the tires. The tires are hella crisp and clean. I like. I can't wait to see the final product.

howd you animate the glowing disc brake? Is there some way to change a shader's attributes using keyframing?

Yes, but I experimented with a few different ways to make the glow, and came up with a more practical method. Gives me much more control. I came up with this trick 7 years ago.

There are 2 brake discs. One is the textured version. The other is a simple cylinder, with a red lambert shader, with a glow already assigned to it. All you do it animate the transparency. Considering all the motion blur on the wheel, plus the mud that will be applied, you won't even notice. Hell, you don't even notice it now. Plain and simple....but effective.

Wow, that worked a treat! I have one more question though... actually 2.

I thought skyfinch.com was meant to be dead as of 15th march.

Also, what type of material do you use for your metal shaders?

I use a blin for almost all my shaders. Just make sure you use an eviroment map, and turn the reflectivity up, for making metal.
As for the hosting....that's the reason why I left. My hosting has expired, yet the site remains. I have no clue what's up, since they don't reply to my e-mails anymore. They even tried to charge me with another years worth, even though I told them to cancel a long time ago.

As far as webhosts are concerned, I'm 3 for 3. All of them were unreliable
