My final say.
This is in response to a pair of Sonic’s pms and e-mails, and my departure from NGG.. (Final closure on the matter.)
First off, Sonic, stop contacting me and leaving lame messages. No one else at NGG e-mails me or pms me at other sites, mainly because they moved on with their lives. Move on with yours. Are you going to sit in front of your PC for the rest of your life, hoping that a former internet “friend” will accept your invitation to strike up some mindless conversation? I don’t want to hear your whining. That’s why I blocked you from MSN.
Next, I know some of you people hate me for so-called “backstabbing” NGG. Does that seem logical to you? How much work did I put into the site? And what did I get in return? I never got any free games to review.
I did more work than anyone. I wrote more reviews, I did nearly all the art, I wrote a ton of written material, I e-mailed a ton of people to join the site, I posted news, I posted and watermarked screenshots, I did the art for Grendel’s site, and did it without having access to PS on my pc, Aaron and I stayed up till the morning some nights, searching for game companies, I closed down my forums to help NGG, hell, I even paid $50 ($80 Canadian) for web hosting. I sacrificed my time for the site, and I wanted it to succeed. When I was with the site, I did my work professionally. I might have acted silly in the forums, but never to the extent that you saw at other forums.
And for what? Sonic, you bitch when a few TXB members used to link NGG in their sig, which mistakenly had “skyfinch’s forums” as their link title. They didn’t have time to fix this, as it was originally a link to my old forums. Aaron didn’t care, I didn’t care…. but you bitched about it, so I had to take the time and e-mail those people and tell them to change it. You could have done that, but no, you waited for me to. You bitch when you can’t solve coding problems, you bitch about TXB 24/ 7, you bitch because people don’t like your smilie icons, you bitch when people hate the things you like. And the worst part is, you do your bitching in the same MSN window as I’m in.
Which, by the way, is the REAL reason why I got pissed off in the first place. Not a “hi, how’s it going?” or “what’s up?” The window popped up and the first thing that was typed, was you bitching about those goddamn smilies. Now, you e-mail me and call me “lame”? Am I lame for not wanting to hear your bitching?
Sonic, you’re quick to entitle yourself as “Co-owner” of the site, or label NGG as being “your” site. What is that? If I were to put “Co-owner of NGG” in my sig, I know you’d bitch about it. Honestly, you did next to nothing for the site, and the only reason why you do slightly more now is because you’re afraid Aaron will boot your ass. To make matters worse, I did more work than you, and I even had my own, personal site to maintain.
You whine that your pc doesn’t have the specs that allow you to post news. Here’s a newsflash, “posting news does not require massive processing power.” I was in charge of posting Xbox news, but whenever there was PS2 or Gamecube news, I would post them as well.
I really don’t know why or what you want to talk about, in regards to your e-mail. There’s nothing to talk about. I don’t want to listen to your whining and bitching. That’s why, up till this point, I’ve been ignoring you.
When I left NGG, I did my best to leave in good terms. Check the thread I created, a while back and you will see. But no, some of you jumped at the chance to lash out, then I was forced to defend myself once again.
Now for NGG in general.....
Why don’t I link NGG in my sigs anymore? I know you people bitch about it, because some of you have taken “skyfinch.com” from your sig and site. Do I care? Should I care? No!
I left NGG, and I made it official in that thread, therefore I’m not associated with the site. I no longer need to link the site, feverously, on my personal site like I used to. I still have some of the art I created for NGG on my site, and that’s more than enough. If you don’t think it is, buy your own domain; buy your own hosting, than link the hell out of it for all I care.
Why aren’t I on MSN anymore? Simple…it’s the same thing over and over again. I used to spend all my time visiting forums, and all my time on MSN. Now that I’ve cut back, I’m actually able to get work done. It’s not like the people who I used to chat with say much anymore anyways. I see Adam on once in a while, but we never really talk much anymore.
So there you have it, I am now done with NGG, and I’m sure you’re all done with me. It’s time for both sides to move on. (This goes mainly for you, Sonic. Enough of your frigging e-mails and pms.)
I don’t badmouth NGG at other sites, and have never done anything that would harm the site, even after I left. Now, it’s time for you to do the same, and that starts with having one of your Admins or “Co-owners” leaving me alone.
I’ve saved this letter for anyone who thinks that have a say in my departure with NGG.
