Matrix Revolutions??? (scary movie 3?)

Anyone getting this?

The store near my place gives you $5 off when you buy it on Tuesday, so I'll be picking it up. Not exactly a big fan of the series, but did enjoy the special effects in this last movie. The war scenes, with the robots, was stunning.

Also, did anyone see Scary Movie 3? Some of the clips I saw looked lame, but I have the first 2, and was thinking about completing the collection.

Didn't watch Scary Movie 3 since it went real big hollywood style and got rid of the Wayan bro's influence. that IMO was enough for me to avoid it, that and Charlie Sheen.

Also Matrix Revolutions sucked so much IMO that it ruined the rest of the trilogy and I can't even watch the 2 other movies let alone the Animatrix now without being pissed. They went too far into the whole bible refrences/tie-in crap for my tastes. Also I wanted to see humanity overcome and destroy its mechanical oppressors and triumph. Instead I was severely let down with the ending. It ruined the whole damned thing and made the ride (getting into the trilogy) pointless!

I liked most of Revolutions except for the weak ending. It seemed to me a hollow victory.

Also the final fate of Neo was so vague it was a joke. Is he dead? Why is he glowing then? Someone tell what the fuck I'm looking at. :freak:

So....now that we've all had the chance to now see it...what does everyone else think. I thought the AP units [robots] were pretty cool.

Like I said, I just like the war scene. Watched the DVD twice so far, but I have to fast forward the beginning, as it's rather slow. And I never finish the movie because I think the Neo/ Agent Smith battle was lame.

I hated the last matrix, which sucks cause I loved the first two... it was a big let down.

As for Scary Movie 3... I loved it and watched it a couple times. I thought it was better than the second one.

It was a natural progression to make both of them more powerful, but they still just hit eachother. You'd think Neo might try to use his telekinesis for more than stopping bullets or levitating sai swords. Maybe we could have had Smith and Neo throwing cars at eachother. I think the end of DARK CITY was better. It basically came down to a contest of will that violently shook the city apart.

Even if it wouldn't accomlish much I'd still like to see all those Smiths firing their Desert Eagles at Neo. :eek:

Having Neo manifest in that Mobil Ave place was interesting but the following dialogue with those two programs really contributed nothing.

The Trainman giving him a beating made no sense either. Obviously Neo has some power outside the Matrix even in the real world. Why would this place be the exception? He can stand up to 100+ Smiths but a subway hobo can kick his ass?

I just got the third Matrix in my bag of easter candy, and I just finished it.

Spoilers:

It's good, better than the second maybe, nothing can top the first one though. The problem with the series is all the god damn spiritual talk and shit, to damn much, they could totally lost the oracle for one thing, that damn lady was behind like half the damn spirit talk. And towards the end when trinity dies, holy shit I never thought she'd just quit the damn spiritual yap and DIE!

LOL, that crap was so frigging lame. She could have used her last breathes trying to help that dork save Neo-land, or whatever it was called.

Really man, When I was watching that scene Trinity would like say "Neo, I believed in you from the beginning" and just rabble on for a minute, then it would look like she was gonna die, but no, she would suddenly squeeze out another line like "Remember when we were on that roof" blah blah blah, then act like she was gonna finally die, and say another damn line. fucking lame. And the final battle with Smith and Neo was cool up until the damn flying through the air super man crap where they were just spinning around above the city groping each other.


It's a cool movie, it's very stylish and some of the action is GREAT, such as the Zion battle, but GAWD DAMN it's so carried away with the philosophy crap it makes me cringe. The only other movie that had an effect on me like that was Pearl Harber and the damn love story crap, the matrix has the same problem as that movie except over something different.

And as for pearl harbor, it's very similar to the matrix as far as problems go.


As with the matrix series the action is great, but the story try's to do to damn much. Pearl harbor is sposed to be about japs dropping bombs on a docked navy battle group, not people fondling each other in parachutes!

and one other thing I think was stupid about pearl harbor was the damn crap where farmer brown and pretty boi are flying and it has the in-cockpit view them, WTF is up with the control yoke being up to their shoulders? It should be just above their knees, no more. I think it was done to add to the drama and suspense, it's stupid as hell, makes it look like a damn video game. And wth is up with their lame ass radio chatter?

Your right...MAtrix had a wierd ending...but I think it was because there is going to be a 4th made. It ended with to many questions. Bu shit the special effecs were great...but what ever happen tot the twins...did they actually die in the sceond one with the escalade explosion?? I was looking forward to seeing them.. :)

Yeah not just the twins but all of the Merovingian's gang? Were they overwhelmed by the Smiths or did they haul ass out of the Matrix on the Trainman's subway car.

It seems odd that the Merovingian would want to stand in Neo's way. Someone as connected as him would know about Smith's activities. Perhaps he wanted the Oracle to gain the power that Smith took from her and take over the Matrix himself. Kind of a gamble but he might've been greedy enough to try for it.

I REALLY doubt it! All the cast talked about being done and over with the Matrix and not wanting to be in a 4th even if there were to be one. But there isn't supposed to be since this was always a trilogy.

The problem with the 2nd and 3rd matrix films was... the scripts just really really sucked. The storyline and philosophy was awful. The locations and ideas all were parp.

Wheres the equivilent of neo going to see the oracle and finding a kid with a bendy spoon? wheres the equivilent of the "i know kung fu" sequence? Wheres the dilema with the "ignorance is bliss" guy? The first film had loads of those "moments" The moments that you'll remember as being totally friggin cool.. The second film had one. The third film had NONE. WHERES THE FUCKING STORYLINE?
