...matrix Revolutions Countdown..

i feel like i just saw reloaded yesterday, that's great. this and return of the king will satisfy my trilogy hunger

I have a few ideas about Revolutions but after the new trailer I'm not sure what to expect.

I'm trying really hard to stay away from these so called Spoilers on the internet.

oh god please make it take longer to come out

So sick of hearing about the matrix at school when they come out.

That's only because the matrix got popular through it's action scenes vs. it's underlying meanings. I doubt the average person understood in reloaded that the backdoor thing was a reference to pc's or that trinity was actually hacking using Nmap.

I understood the backdoor issue right away and thought it quite humorous/cool but I didn't know she used nmap of wtf that is. :freak:

Well you use computers and what not everyday, i'm talking about those people who go to the movies to just go, they didn't sit back and over-anticipate it or probably even know there was going to be sequels. It became semi-popular but not as popular as some crap vin diesel would make.

Before the first one came out, it was some unknown un-anticipated sci-fi crap that non-geek's didn't care about.

Maybe so but after it came out it blew up big time and EVERYONE was talking about, copying it and whatnot.

I think you could compare it to star wars, everyone pretty much knows about it, but isn't hardcore on the info. I think ever since the 80's people PUSH to hate on anything a group of people try to push like SW or other things were.

OCT. 17 | First-day sales of Warner Home Video's highly anticipated second installment of The Matrix trilogy sold about 4 million combined DVD and VHS units, according to industry sources, and exceeded the expectations of some big-box retailers.

Best Buy officials projected The Matrix Reloaded to be their biggest DVD seller ever and were not disappointed.

"We've had an unprecedented response from our core consumers," said Best Buy senior VP of entertainment Gary Arnold. "It aligns very well with Best Buy's core consumer, which is a young male interested in technology. For us, this is probably as big as it gets for the Christmas season."

Best Buy was selling Reloaded in stores on DVD only for $14.99--about half the $29.95 MSRP for the title. The chain, which is no longer carrying new releases in VHS, had the Reloaded videocassette on the Best Buy Web site for $17.99. Best Buy rival Circuit City was also selling the DVD for $14.99. Blockbuster had it on its Web site for $22.99.

Shipments skewed heavily toward DVD. Warner officials would not comment on sales or shipment numbers.

Tower Records/Video cross-merchandised Reloaded with the film's CD soundtrack as well as the series' first installment, The Matrix. The chain was selling the Reloaded DVD for $19.99.

The Matrix, released in 1999 when DVD player penetration was relatively small, is one of the 10 all-time best-selling DVDs. According to industry estimates, it has sold about 8 million DVD copies.

ahh so it's just some comnist crap eh?

I gotcha

These movies are driving me crazy. There's another Prisoner reference in the first movie. I read about it somewhere and just saw it for myself.

Toward the end of the movie when Neo is running away from the Agents to get to the exit phone. While running through the apartments the camera passes buy a TV that actually has The Prisoner character #2 on the screen.

All the ****ing time I've had the Matrix 1 DVD and I never noticed that.

*starts banging head on computer desk*

I swear if the Matrix is that heavily inspired by The Prisoner then it seems nearly certain Neo will meet someone who looks almost exactly like him. I'm almost waiting for a Patrick McGoohan cameo. WTF

I may wind up renting The Prisoner episodes. Then I'll watch them, watch The Matrix - Reloaded - then Revolutions and then my head will explode.
