Live action videogames

What do you think of characters in videogames played by actors in games instead of the usual 3D polygons characters. Do you think XBox should experiment with that? I think in some cases games like that can be kind of cheesy but sometimes they\'ll turn out really well like in the MYST games, Command & Conquer, or Under a Killing Moon.

I liked Mortal kombat 1-2-3 much better then 4. The live actors made everything more believable.

Skyfinch is right about the Mortal Kombat series. I wasn\'t to thrilled with MK4 or the silly \"friendship\" or \"babalities\" trend either.

One reason I\'d like to see either fighters or other games with live actors on XBox is I\'d imagine a much higher number of animation frames would be available wich would make all the moves look much smoother. Same goes for just doing games in 2D.

The Mortal Kombat series were good, but they needed more frame animations. After a while they started to look like some type of gif animation game. The street fighter movie game sucked arse and so did that one game that was for the 3DO. What made the first mortel Kombat look real good was that the art style was consistant through out the game using realistic backgrounds with photoshop work. The 3D backgrounds with the 2d realistic actors makes the game look like a cheap horror movie. If they cant make the game look real, then dont waste the players time with it.
