is counterstrike any good?

yeah so i have over 5,000 points accumulated on www.xbox.com/retail and it's time to get some more free games. so far i know that im getting:

top spin - 1,500 points.

other games im considering are:

counterstrike - 1,500 points
links 2004 - 1,500 points
amped 2 - 1,500 points
fuzion frenzy - 700 points

so is counterstrike worth it? keep in mind i have no live connection...

and id like to just get 2 1,500 point games and maybe fuzion frenzy, and then save the rest of my points for when they put some new games on there.

Counterstrike for the Xbox sucks HARD! Go checkout the voluminous reviews on how much it sucks, let alone even worse w/o Live. Buy Top Spin! That game is so fucking awesome I injured my thumb for a week from playing it too much! HARDCORE!

yeah im pretty hyped about top spin, that game looks badass and i loved virtua tennis on dreamcast. ive played counterstrike online for PC and i love it, but im thinking it wouldnt warrant a purchase as an offline game for xbox..... ill probably just got top spin and maybe amped 2 or links 2004, or ill save the rest of my points for newer games later. ill go look up some reviews on counterstrike though.

Re: is counterstrike any good?

yeah im definitely interested in ninja gaiden, but the reason im looking at the games in my first post is 'cause i can get them for free.

if you work in retail, you can sign up for an xbox retail account and you take like 50 of these 5 question quizzes, each quiz will give you 100 points. then you can redeem the points for games and xbox t-shirts, hats, etc. the newer games on their list cost 1,500 points, slightly older games cost 1,000 points, and then old games cost 700 points. since ive started using xbox retail (i use an account in my brother's name for blockbuster) ive gotten project gotham, amped, ghost recon, and now top spin, + about 3 other possible games that i have yet to decide on, all for about 30 dollars total shipping. pretty sweet deal.

Re: is counterstrike any good?

eh if you're risky you could make a fake account and just enter in fake employee information.... they have a little warning that says you're subject to prosecution if you're caught, but my brother hasnt worked at blockbuster in a couple years and im still using his account, lol.
