Gaming with a KB sucks!

When I think of gaming I think of stick or pad and buttons to press not a KB & Mouse. It seems so old and primitive to play with a fricken Keyboard. Where's the ergonomics in that? The ease of use? It sucks so much to use 4 little arrow keys instead of a full range analog stick. Keyboards are so fucking clunky. I hate having to use them to game. This isn't 1982 anymore!
Why hasn't anyone thought about gaming via dual mouse. Give me two mice with five buttons on them each and PC gaming would be alot more fun IMO!

The only PC game I really got into was Quake 3. I was good at it with the keyboard and mouse, but couldn't get anywhere when I got it on the DC version. The only setup, when it comes to console fps, that I can deal with, is the "Turok" style controls, where the buttons are for movements, and the left analog is or aiming.

I don't like using the KB that much either, but you can do a lot more with one then you can a control with a small amount of buttons. There are little set-ups out there that combine the KB and mouse together just for gaming, it kind of trims the fat away and creates a KB mouse combo that is more comfortable to use. I'll see if I can't find some images of it.

2 regular mice would suck but if they were both finger trackballs then it would be awsome

I agree, KB's are ass for gaming, it's not moving around that I hate, it's function keys, if I was playing call of duty for instance the hell if I could control crouch, prone, weapon selection, jump, move speed etc. worth a shit, especially without looking down, but with a control pad each function button is much more different visually and to the touch than a row of square keys.


But there is no doubt the mouse's greatness for fps aiming!

Keyboards are meant for typing word documents. They definately aren't designed for gameplay. A controller is so much better to um... control than using a keyboard.

Like Ice said....all the buttons are the same shape...so you never know what button you are hitting unless you look down.

hha, i think keyboards rock,just that feeling of holding D while you go round to finish of that el33t, or that last nazi, just mo though. i think the N64 has had the best controller ever so far, but again, just imo
