FUCKING lightning screws me over AGAIN

well as you guys may or may not know, depending on if you've read my posts about it, last fall a nearby lightning strike fried my router or ethernet cables or something, and i havent been networked upstairs ever since. flash forward to the present... the other day one of our pine trees outside got struck by lightning, and it fucked up a bunch of our electronics in the house. it knocked the phone lines out as well, so my dsl is fucked up. SBC said it could be a fucking month before they come out to look at it :mad: so right now our downstairs computer is really messed up (good, that piece of shit), our dvd player and stereo system isnt working, and our phones are acting weird.

so just thought id let you know. im sitting at a library right now, with a hangover, and i think the kid next to me is watching me type (yeah that's right kid im talking to you). i gotta go to work in a little bit... not sure how long it's going to take for us to get all this shit sorted out and i can post again.

Seems your HOUSE needs to be better protected against electronic surging. You might wanna put a lightning rod on the roof with a ground to divert lightning from fucking everything up, same with the wiring, protect that shit so this doesn't happen again.

heh yeah dude all our stuff is hooked up to surge protectors. i dunno this is just fucked up.

at least now we'll be able to upgrade computers. sucks that i wont be able to be online for a long time though. fucking lightning :mad:

lol. That happened to a friend, i think i would die if i lost my dsl for a whole month. I'd be out of work for a month to, which would SUCK!

well im back i guess. some guy from my dad's work gave him some old PC parts for the time being. once my parents decide what kind of computer parts they want, we're going to order two PCs (one for them, one for me) so that'll be cool.
