Friday Night...biggest fight in MMA history.

I know MMA isn't popular at NGG, but I'll post this anyways.

Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz. I can't wait for this fight. It's been in the making for so long and now it's on. These two used to be very good friends, and rumors have it, that they would never fight each other, due to respect, but that went out the door. It's going to be an all out war between two of the best fighters in the industy today.

I like Chuck more than Tito, as he shows more respect and is an all around nice guy in the ring and out, but Tito is just too strong. So my pick is Tito, due to cut or TKO, second round.

I think the reason I don't like it is that more often than not it becomes a grappling match on the floor with one guy trying to break the arm or leg of the other guy. That's VERY boring IMO. I like seeing martial artistry. You know the actual styles, stances, and moves performed.

Yeah, that's my only gripe about these fights too. It's gotten a lot better now, as the refs have the choice of standing the fighters back into their feet when there's no action. Personally, I would like 5 rounds, 2-3 minutes each, and more yellow cards for fighters who grab and hold.

Coleman is fighting in Pride now, and will be fighting in a huge 16 men tournament. He looked really bad during his last fight, so we'll see if he improved.

I think the ref's name is John Mcarthy. "Big John"

The things you are referring to we call "Plum Flower". It looks very pretty, and helps with balance, agility and strength... but is rarely used in a real fight. Most real fights end in the way you just described.

Yeah I know I've taken guys and kneed their faces in until they couldn't see or breathe right.
BTW scraping a guys face against a chain-linked fence is fun.

WOW!!! The best UFC EVER!!! 2 submissions, 1 judges decision, and the rest K.Os including.....

Chuck knocking Tito on his ass!!! I've never been more excited about a win in my life.

Re: Friday Night...biggest fight in MMA history.

He tried to make a comeback.....but lost all three fights in a row, all in the first round. One by TKO, one by choke, and one by toe hold. Fighters evolved over the years, his battle plan has always been brute force, and that doesn't win fights anymore.

Too bad..I liked his way of fighting....He was interesting to watch.
