anyway, I was wondering where everyone is currently working......

I work on the corner of 5th and main......

No, I have had quite a lot of dumb jobs in the past.
More recently, I was discharged from the Army last year in July. I was stationed down in Fort Benning, Georgia, and my mos was in the electrician field. I was discharged for medical reasons, and because I was diagnosed as being manic depressive, or bi polar....

Prior to that, I have worked in mostly retail. I have worked at both Walmart and Target, as an overnight associate merchandising from 10pm to about 7am.. And you sure do meet some weirdos working overnight....

In the past, I have graced just about every fast food joint. Let's see:
Burger King
Wendy's
Mcdonald's
Roy Roger's
and a local pizza joint here in Md, called Fortunato's Pizza.

Anyway, enough rambling.....

Domino's Pizza (lasted about 5 days.)
Sign Shop (lasted about 2 months.)
Kash N' Karry Stock (Lasted about a month)
Graphics Designer for Federal Association of Financial Services (Just over a year now.)

Pizza Hut - opening and closing shifts.

Moved on to worked at a fabric company where I lugged 60lbs fabric rolls all frigging day. Have a brown patch of skin on my shoulder to this day, from where the rolls used to rest when I carried them. (This job paid for most of my school supplies.)

Welder. Worked with my workaholic dad. We had 10hour shifts, but used to have lots of overtime, so 14 hour shifts were common....for him, not me. I'd pass out at the 12 hour mark. Summer time and welding don't mix.

Blueprint detailer (used autocad 2000) at the same company where I welded. Only did this for about 4 months.

Now I have a pathetic oncall job at a mailroom warehouse, and am lucky if I work 2-3 time a week. Looking for something new right after I move to my new place. Maybe a better location, means better jobs.

Need to get my demo reel finish by the end of the year or early 2005, and hopefully that will get me somewhere.



Now...where are those naked pics? My crotch is a rumblin.

Burger King - 1 year, and I'll never eat there again. Do you know what they do to uncooked meat that accidently falls on the floor?
Meat Packing Plant - 3 hours, would have been longer but I would have been in the hospital for gang rape if I had stuck around. Good thing the plant closed the following week! :evil:
Krogers - 6 months, quit because of school and general disgust of management. Nightime stocker, bagger, and cart collector.
Wal-Mart - 3 months.temp job upgrading an old building into a Super Wal-Mart (or whatever they are called). Interesting experience, but I was "fired" because they wouldn't work around my college schedule (even though they said they would).
Some Crappy Gas Station - 6 months. Dishwasher and stocker/janitor. Was let go because the management didn't realize that people still smoke and drink after the store closes, and trash cans are still used. I'm not responsible for what accumulates after 10pm. First time in my life I can say I actually despised barbeque.
TVCC - 6 months. Local community college library, where I pretty much covered the whole library from reserves to government documents. Quit to finish college.
UNT - 1 year, SLA Stacks management. Essentially shelving books.
UNT - 3 1/2 years. Nighttime supervisor of university library. Generally responsible for up to 3 student assistants, jobs consists of repairing books, preparing new books for circulation, and generally f*cking around on the computer during the dead of night. Highest paying job, and the best job for a slacker! :rock: :D

Grimm, I do have had a crappy experience with Wal-Mart. They are pure evil, I tell you...

See, I was working there until I left for basic training in Georgia for the Army. And they would not work aorund my schedule to take the damn ASVAB test, so I didn't get to study much. But I did pass, however, I just did not do as well as I had liked...
