Favorite Comic Company?

Choose, and i have a feeling people dont know the last one well for it's other comics. :scrump:

Its hard for me because:

Marvel has: Spiderman, Xmen, Transformers

DC has: Batman, Green Lantern

Archie has: Sonic the hedgehog

Dark Horse has: Buffy(And Angel, And Fray the comic based in the future of the buffy universe) and Yusagi Yojimbo(sp?)

Image Has: Spawn

I voted for Dark Horse then(im sure alot of people are unfamiliar with them). Also I LOVE marvel just as much, but im sure enough people will vote for it. For people unfamiliar with Usagi Yojimbo its the samurai rabbit from Ninja Turtles.

I would put down CrossGen but i bet like one other person has heard of them or even Top Cow.(havent seen any other comic devotee's here yet)

*I didnt pick dark horse just because of buffy they also make star wars comics and even the aliens vs. predator series, i love marvel just as much, i have a spiderman figure on top of my pc ;) *

I haven't really read comics in a while but I'd go with Marvel for creating The HULK who is one of my favorite characters as well as The X-Men, The Fantastic Four, GhostRider, The Punisher, and many others. Though as soon as a good story gets going it usually gets stomped on by another stupid crossover story arc with that company.

Image has some great characters to like Spawn, The Savage Dragon, Union(cut to short), SuperPatriot, and PITT and I liked DC Vertigo for publishing the excellent Preacher comic. I haven't read many Dark Horse titles but they published the awesome Concrete: Strange Armor graphic novel. Valiant comics also had the interesting Solar: Man of the Atom and X-O Man-O-War.

I actually have some of the solar man comics some where. When i was young i thought it was crap but liked it when i was older. I used to grab these reprint packs from Rite Aid. 3 Random Comics and you could see the front one but not the other 2.

Marvel's side project experiment New Universe had potential that seemed cut short, particularly with D. P. 7.

Did anyone get to read any Teknocomics before the company went under and took a lot of cool characters with it? The Teknophage was ****in cool and The Pneumatic Man was kind of neat.

I do but just barely. Hehe. Too bad comic companys don't pick up dropped comics.

But i have so many old discontinued comics or wierd things people have probably never even heard of before. Btw does any one here read Wizard magazine often?

I picked DC comics, but mostly cause of there Vertigo(adult) titles, past and present, like Swamp Thing, the Invisibles, and Preacher.

SWAMP THING!!! I remember i used to have the action figure where his arm extended out and could grab stuff lol.

YES!!! Beleive it or not, the Swamp Thing became one of the most adult comics of all time. Allan Moore started writing for it(If you like comic books or graphic novels and do NOT know who Allan Moore is, then just shoot yourself now please!) and in the span of 30 issues, "Swampy" became an Earth Elemental, could grow crazy pods on his body that humans could eat, trip out, and communicate "in the green", and he had a child, which is what the current run of the Swamp Thing is all about! :scrump:

IMAGE, why? because they have Top Cow, why top cow? 'cause they have the darkness and witchblade!
