FARSCAPE: The Series Finale.

The finale episode of farscape aired tonight, or final live-action episode of farscape. Some of you know they plan on making an anime based on the series because they want to continue the storyline. The reason sci-fi cancelled the show was they claimed it cost them more money to produce then they were making off of it in the end even though there are like 3 sites i can name that made every effort to try and keep the show going.

Essentially this is the last episode and i'm going to treat it like so, because i'm sure not every fan will dig the anime idea. Or for another fact if it will definitely come out or have the same feel as the show(as far as i know).

After four years he get's back home to earth and decided to close the wormhole his only way back to earth, because of the enemy's possibilites of taking over his home planet and using the technology for their advantage. After saving the day, and proposing to his long time girlfriend, THEY BOTH GET KILLED.

Now at the end of the episode sci-fi thanked the creators and everyone who worked on the show for a wonderfull four years with the series. And at the end of the episode it left: TO BE CONTINUED! Now, i know the anime(if it comes out) will continue the story but that was a little bit odd because not every one even knows this.

I also doubt they're just going to bring them back from the dead. But it was a good finale, a bit depressing to say the least because of what happend. But i think they didn't close stuff up like most shows do since they know themselves they get to continue it.

OK... I just got done watching it... and was quite dissappointed. Not as good an episode as I thought it would be.

And damn Sonic... how many times do people die on that show. The only one that stayed dead is Zhann. You know they will both be back.

As far as the anime goes, I think most people know. TV Guide featured a big article about it last week, and if they didn't know, the "TO BE CONTINUED" might give them a hint.

Personally I can't wait for the anime series, espeically if it is all the same actors. They can do a lot more with the anime cause it doesn't cost anything extra to draw in special effects. I think the anime series will be good.

Aren't there any other scaper's here... or just Me, Sonic and Akuma?

I think the dissappoint comes from the fact that it's not really the finale, but more so that they left stuff open. I thought the whole conversation with his dad from the moon and the closing of the wormhole taking away the one thing he wanted after 4 years away from him to protect his planet was great. And all the characters seemed in their position but they left it open.

It's not the openess of the anime that worry's me(like being able to do more stuff), it's more the fact that they don't have any concept art and i don't want it to turn into a wanna be type of japanese anime(i like actual anime, anyone here should know) trying to appeal to a new crowd.

EDIT: Nice Scorpious avatar!

Thank god they cancelled the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Cartoon because it was more a cartoon and wouldn't have had serious plot lines.

PS: Yea it's one of the few show's i've seen more then one major character get killed. Buffy has only had a few and some of them came back ;)

I see what you're saying.

I check a lot for concept art, but haven't seen anything yet. We are coming to an age though where producers realize that cartoons aren't just for kids. Like the Animatrix. The animation in that is incredible so far.

But the art doesn't always matter. Look at Hellsing. In my opion the best anime to come outta Japan, and the animation is absolutly horrible.

BTW, if you haven't seen Hellsing you should run out and buy it (some jerks my just look on Kazaa for it, but thats illegal).
