Fable help and progress thread.

Help others if you can, and post your progress.

Progress
I played for a long time last night. 8 hours straight, then another few more in the AM. I just freed the Archeologist (spelling) just before he was about to be forced onto somekind of boat. Taking the good path so far, but I'm so used to clicking on everything, like in Shenmue, that I often end up stealing things and have to pay fines to keep the guards off my ass. I probably won't need help for the actual missions, but there are a few demon doors that I don't know how to get past. By the way, the part where you use stealth for the first time was difficult. I would always get caught. Took me about half an hour before I got through the gates.


Need Help
One door is telling me to do an evil act in front of it. I got a person to follow me, then I killed him in front of the door, but nothing happened. I tried eating one of the yellow chickens, which you can buy, but again, nothing.

Another door is telling me to bring it something that it onced loved, or something like that. (Near the old granny's house) I have no idea what to do here.



Helping Out
Some demon doors I've already opened. Some are obvious...

Door that had its heart broken - give it a wedding ring

Door that wants you to spell out its name as you hit the 4 rocks - hit out the word "hits"

(I got stuck on this one, so don't laugh) the very first demon door - just use your lamp in your items list.

There's more, but I forget.

You guys are progressing fast. I've spent alot of time exploring the world and just fucking around instead of doing too many quests. I've just beaten the arena and I'm 47 years old. I spend alot of time fucking my wives, hehehehe...

Finch you should warn of spoilers homes, I'm like Vicman and not to that point yet. I did however open 4 demon doors and here is how.

Demon Door at the Hero's Guild:

He says you are not bright enough to enter.
Take out your lamp and walk up to it, the door will open.

Demon Door by Oakvale:

He says something along the lines of you are to skinny.
Eat a lot of Red meat and Pies then when your status changes to "Fatty" talk to the door and he will open.

Demon Door (Can't remember location):

He asks you to commit a horrible dead infront of him.
I found a trader near the boasting platform who needed an escort, he offerd to pay 25% upfront and the rest when he reaches his destination. Never take him the complete way, once infornt of the demon door sluaghter him and the door will open.

Demon Door (can't remember exactly - On the dark paths somewhere.)

He wants you to be a strong swordsman and will tell you that you must beat his minions.

Say yes to his challenge and beat the minons and the door will open. (Tip: The minions are all hobes so don't be afraid to do this mission if you think you arn't strong enough.)

Actually I'm farther than Finch in the game but I've been playing it all day for 2 days now and have about 20 hours so I should be further along. I hope I don't get too old and not be able to beat the main story...

I just beat the game. Didn't complete all the missions and still some doors left unopened. Guess I'll have to go back and do it again.

So, what's up? You still playing it? Don't have it? Planning on getting it?

I played the crap out that game in the first three days. It's still pretty fun.
Got 23 silver keys, opened all but one demon door, and have the strongest sword in the game, can do 1000+ in damage.

Killed everyone in Oakval, bought all the stores and houses there, but no one seems to be coming back. It's a ghost town with three or so, jack ass guards moping around.

Got married to Lady Grey, but she was acting like a bitch because I didn't give her any gifts, so I punched her out and we got divorced. Didn't spend too much money, so I have roughly 160,000.
Powered up all my skills and stength attributes. There's not a whole lot of enemies around after you beat the game, so it's tough getting your experience up.

Overall, great game, and won't be traded in. It's a keeper. :scurred:

When you beat the game do you get to continue with the same character?

You need to let the boring ass credits run through. If you skip them, you have to replay from your last save point.

What's the world like when you play the 2nd time through already full grown and uber powerfull?
