Fable First Impressions

Re: Fable First Impressions

The Kraken, I just call him godzilla for fun and to not spoil anything.

Eat meat all the time just when health is low? Cause I use it for health and must have bought a hundred of them and my character is still skinny. I want to be able to get that sword from the rock, but I'm too weak.

I drank about 16 beers, threw up four times, and ate about 4 red meats (which incidently are evil as well) and only gained an "average" weight class. I quickly lost it doing a quest. I don't know if you will bulk up by consistent use of heavy weaponry or not.

I think you will only lose weight if you us heavy weapons.

I got another question. I've started over, and am trying to get as many keys as possible. A lot are in the pools so you need to fish them out. Only problem is, fishing has become HARD! I mean, the line snaps everytime. The bar usually turns light green, orange then red before the line snaps, now it instantly goes to red. So it basically snaps everytime now. Is it possible to buy a new one? If so, where? I know you can sell the fishing rod, but don't remember if you can buy a new one.

Well you can get the one from the old fisher man at his house, or in bowerstone you can buy one from the guy selling from a booth near the main entrance.

Re: Fable First Impressions

I figured out the problem. Unlike the first time around, I bulked up all my stength attributes as quickly as possible, making my guy a little bit too strong. That's why the fishing line was snapping everytime.

Anyways, I beat the game for a second time, but did things as perfectly as possible. Found 23 silver keys, (or more, I don't remember) opened all the silver key chests, (unless there are some that are still hidden) and opened all but two demon doors.
There are a few mini games, like the arrow range that I haven't even touched yet, but I'll go back and do those now.

*Remember* When you do beat the game, you MUST allow all the credits to scroll by in order to continue playing the game. If you hit the "y" button and skip it, you'll jump back to the start screen and have to restart from you last save point. It's awesome being able to go back in the game and not have to deal with any more missions. You can spend all your time kicking the crap out of people.

Re: Fable First Impressions

I still haven't finished the game, I'm on my 13th hour and the mission I left off on last night was the Arceologist mission. I'm currently working on owning the entire town of Oakvalle.

Re: Fable First Impressions

It took me about 15 hours to beat the game the seond time through. But then again, both times, I played as a good guy, and there isn't as much to do than if you're a bad guy.
I just found out about picking locks this morning.

Re: Fable First Impressions

Picking locks?! I just smash doors if I can't open them. How do you pick locks?

Re: Fable First Impressions

Get your steath attributes up. I'm not sure, but you may need to max it out. Then, you will get a lock icon in your expressions.

Everytime I smash doors, the guards fine me,.

Re: Fable First Impressions

Well then kill the guards! Geez, you're too much of a goody goody!

Re: Fable First Impressions

I can't kill them in Brownstone South. No weapons allowed. Punching doesn't seem to kill them.

Re: Fable First Impressions

I just beat them to shit and then teleport the hell out of there after stealing what I want, LOL!

Re: Fable First Impressions

I'm in the same area as Nasty (though I still need to save the boy from Hobbe's Cave) having finished off Twinblade. Question; what did the bandit seer give to my character (aiming for non-spoiler territory here)?

Baerac the Blood (also called Sabre) definitely needs to find himself a good helmet, as his face is becoming a mess of nasty looking scars. I'm still waiting for a nice looking beard like Twin Blades, though I can't seem to find it.
