Do you believe in The Devil?

I thought I'd toss this in as a companion topic to the religious thread.

Do you believe in The Devil or just Evil as an actual force? Y'know, the concept of Good and Evil as not just as adjectives that describe good and bad things, but as actual forces working against eachother. God Vs. Satan or Good Vs. Evil?

I guess the reason I bring this up is I think there are people who believe in God but they don't really think of Satan as real in the same way.
 
I find the concept of Good OR Evil as actual forces in nature to be perposterous. It's all the law of causality, which is just the law of identity in action. In this context human free will does not contradict causality but rather is another aspect of it. Since free will is an aspect of a human's identity when using it to make decisions you are further expressing the law of identity, that A is A. In this view all happenings are the results of things interacting and the appropiate outcome of those interactions; the laws of physics are naturally implied in this simplified expression of causality.
 
I think of good and evil as a choice, and no matter who you are you can go down either road. there is no bigger force driving us to evil, just or own corrupted morality. No devil to guide us the wrong way, no god to guide us the right way. Just man, making mistakes as we go along, learning, yet not learning at the same time.

no not really , i dont' believe in any supernatural being's ,*but of course i do believe there is other lifeforms in space other then us ,, but thats another topic*

i do believe in the concept of good and evil , killing a person = evil, killing a person who kills ppl = good . if i ruled the world, i would make a law , if u break the law ppl can do what u did legally to u , *like if u stole something , then ppl can steal from u , if u killed someone, ppl can kill u legally*

but that's also another topic ;) , but i think u get what i mean
 
No, but my friend's brother swears to god he has seen a "horned" figure with a tail walk behind him while he was brushing his teeth at like 5am.. My other friend has seen ghosts, he was at his cousins ranch and he also swears to god that he woke up and saw a cowboy just leaning against a wall watching them sleep, and he winked and then disappeared. :shock: And I have a picture that PROVES that ghosts exist, if I ever get a scanner then I can show yall. It is plain as day ;)
 
yes, i've seen things you can only imagine... well not if i told you them, but you wouldn't belive me anyway so i'll just stay quiet.
