I am not sure if it is relevent to this forum, but I found this really nice site today. It is called www.xboxrepairguide.com. And it offers replacement lasers and other parts for your defunct cube. The prices are reasonable, and the guy, Kris Rollman, is a decent guy.
I had bought a replacement laser for my cube after it started freezing and what not. Most places here in Maryland, wanted to adjust the potentiometer, or tweak the laser's voltage. None of this crap solved my problem, so my friends suggested this site. It is incredibily easy to replace the cube's laser, and was pleased with the results.
Btw, the site also offers some very nice mods for the X-box. As well as repair guides for the Playstation2, which I know from experience is a piece of crap....
