Can someone give me a price on....

Hey, I was just wondering if a laptop could actually be built and customized to my liking. If it is possible, please post how or where I can go to get this done or more information so I can build it myself. I build desktops, not laptops, lol.

Well all the major companies will custom build one for you. HeX probably knows some good places to get one custom.

Do you mean like... custom case? Or custom components?
If you mean components, you only have to get a manual for it (get PDF) and the parts.

Yeah, I'm talking about both. I want to build it myself. Put in a 60gb HDD, with a new stick of RAM and a new processor.

RIght now, I'm thinking about getting the new AMD Athlon XP Mobile 2500+ and putting it into my desktop. It might be a mobile processor (laptop processor), but you can overclock the crap out of it if you have the right heatsink/fan.

Can you buy a pieced out laptop...buy the parts sperately, lke the case/monitor and motherboard. I know you can replace the memory and hard drive pretty easy...but the other stuff???
