that is the best buffy angel thread i have seen for a long time well done Sonic X ... i love buffy and angel and have done since the show started :D

Thanks, it will hopefully stop some of the ignorant and stupid opinions of the show. Not necessarily make everyone like it, but let them at least know what the hell they are talking about. :D

I hardly think Oz "Daniel Osborne"(Seth Green) is bitter since he's raking in the dough from the Austin Powers movies, especially now since he'll be the main villan and Mike Myers wants to keep making the Austin Powers movies.

Vicman, the point i'm trying to make is this. Seth Green left and he was bitter for the fact that his so-called acting career wasn't exactly blooming. I'm sure he made alot of money from Austin Powers. But i mean he's done both comedy and serious movies, but it's not like he is now a high ranking actor like i assumed he would have figured he would be. I've have seen various places where he even fails to mention buffy because he thinks his part was so small when his name and character are shown on the opening credits! the character that takes his place afterwards doesn't even get that kind of treatment.

So in terms, alot of people liked him and he decides to hate on the show and there have been times where he even mentioned minor dislike for it. The only other people who left the show were ones who were actually killed off storyline wise. I think it would have been wise and would have helped his career but that's his choice.

Seth Green was hilarious on The Family Guy.

Yea he is ok, i don't have alot against him. I just think his decisions on buffy were very stupid. I don't know how he could have thought his character wasn't going anywhere.

I saw the seasons on DVD at BestBuy and I felt somewhat a need to buy them lol, because you always talk about it and the one episode I've seen was real good.

Fits in this thread :D

Yea the US is up to Season 4 on DVD because of the Syndication Law's, they Re-run the episodes in order up to season 5 on FX. I dunno if they will air Season 6 or 7 Anytime soon since UPN still owns the rights to them. And the law states that FX needs to make so much money, and to make it, people aren't allowed to have the dvd's so if there desperate to watch they would have to see the re-run's

If you ever decided to rent or borrow the dvd's somehow i highly suggest watching from season 1, i know it seems kind of obvious but this isn't like the average tv show where you can just watch and episode and get a little filler storyline mixed with a story arc, it's ton's of arc's and there are only a few episodes each seasons which are filler episodes.

You'll also notice how the show dramatically changes, in the way's the characters look and act from s1 to s2.

Also if you have any interest in Angel i would only watch it after S3 of buffy that away you can see the cross over's and everything will make sense. ;)

WOW

Awesome, very ****ing great, groovy, job.

incredible thread sonic. i used to be a big fan and watched the first few seasons. but then, they changed the night that it came on or something, and i was unable to watch it 'cause i always had something to do on the new night

so gradually, i lost interest. and now, if i catch an episode, im completely lost. i should have continually watched it. :(

anyhoo, i didnt finish the thread. i read all the way through giles, but im going to finish the rest later. sounds like a great plot since i left off, maybe ill catch them on dvd or something.

Lmao out of all the people that i exspected to watch the show i wouldn't have expected it to be you. :D

I did the same thing sort of, but for like 1 year. When i first started watching it, i didn't have basic cable because i could only afford cable internet. So there wasn't much on tv in the way of Sci-Fi/Fantasy, i get bored easily watching shows unless they're drop down funny and the one's on most of the public channel's weren't something i always got into. When i heard they were making a show out of this i figured it'd be more corny and comedy like but then i soon found out what the original creator of the movie intended it to be like the series is now.

I always saw the movie as one of those cheeseball 80's flicks. I like to poke and make fun of all those people who thought the movie was better when that was so far off from what the creator wanted.

why? i will be the first to admit though, the first couple times i turned it on it was for SMG moreso than the plot :D

as far as the movie goes, ive only seen a part of it that came on tv; i only saw a part 'cause i thought it sucked. but to be fair, i did come in right in the middle. maybe if i had watched it from the start or something...

Pretty much 99.9% of the fan's never cared for the movie and im one of them. The idea was good but like i said in the beggining of the thread, hollywood forced the idea's to be changed and of course they ****ed it up. I wish they would either remake the original somehow or make a 2nd that somehow shows the aftermath of the show though. ;)

Alot of the things in the movie, even the comedy is nothing like any episode of the show. Alot of people consider it like his first try even though still it's technically the result of hollywood ass holes.

Alot of people turn it on for the hot chicks, then they notice it's a good Sci-Fi/Fantasy show. Most people tend to make fun of it cause they catch a couple of minutes of it or expect television somehow to be mega movie budgeted.

But i can still make fun of you for not seeing T2 or BTTF2! :p ;)

you can make fun of me for not seeing BTTF2, along with BTTF1, BTTF3, etc.. :p

ok i finished the thread. i havent turned a tv on unless it was for videogames for a few months, are they still showing re-runs? if they are, do they just continually go from S1 to S2 to S3 etc, or do they jump around? id like to catch up on what i missed out on...

You have 3 options...

1.)If you're in the US you could rent up to season 4 on dvd, the UK already has Season 7 but i'll explain why in a minute.

2.) They always had standard re-runs on The Wb late at night on weekends check www.buffyweekends.com to check what time on your local wb station, they show the episodes in order but its on the weekends only obviously.

3.) FX the cable channel, around last year started re-runin two episodes a day around 6:00pm to 8:00 EST. And they do this in order, but they only have up to Season 5, because when Season 6 started the show changed channels. This is the reason the DVD's come out so slowly for alot of shows like seinfield and buffy, they're in syndication and when the people sold the episodes to the networks they have an agreement to allow them to keep them for so long so the channel can actually profit off of it.

If your interested at all in Angel, most of the stations don't re-run, but in the upcoming fall season, TNT plans to re-run the hell out of it like they do charmed. Also Season 1&2 for it are also on dvd. :)

And of course there is the Interweb, ;)
