I'm bored so.....

This post is here because of my other post entitled "Sonic is very angry".

Read that first before reading this.

The episode is obviously going to have some sort of valentines day theme. Or as i call it "Single Geek, who want's to kill people day"

Which doesn't matter to me because BtVS(abbreviation for Buffy the Vampire Slayer), usually has a way to make it interesting. So the preview said that both buffy and xander were going on a date, this wasn't what bothered me. One, the fact that a popular R&B singer was going to guest star(i don't have anything against R&B but guest star's like this are cheesey and singers aren't exactly the most award winning actors), and that buffy might have some kind of relationship with the principal who isn't exactly worthy of being her boyfriend.

So Ashanti was on it, turns out she is an evil demon in disguise. She wasn't exactly the greatest actor of all time. But she did ok for what little on-screen time she did have. It didn't bother me as much because they didn't over enforce and mostly used it as a technique to possibly get newer viewers.

The principal catches buffy snooping around his office, looking for clues as to weather or not he is evil(they caught him doing wierd thing's like walking around in the basement with a shovel, and they showed some scenes of him doing un-principal like things which left you to wonder if he knew the exsistence of demons and vampires and the such). He ask's her out on a date, some jokes fly around about him being older then she is. My problem isn't with the guy or the actor, it's the CHARACTER, the possibility that she would get involed with a principal we know nothing about is an odd move by the writers.

On there way to the so-called date, a bunch of vampires jump them(he was taking her to some hidden restaurant, but the show was trying to confuse you that he was taking her there to be killed) in the alley way to the restaurant's entrance. She get's surprised by him holding his own against vampires, even though he is known human(human's don't have super strength like buffy who is the chosen one/slayer). So he blabs and says we have things to talk about. He says he freelance ocassionaly kills evil demons and such. She asks how does he know about this and the fact that he also knows she is the slayer. His answer was that his mother was once the slayer and she was killed and her watcher took care of him, so he learned some fighting skills and the exsistence of vampire's and such was known to him. So during there date buffy is alerted that xander is in trouble(in the past he always ended with girls who were demons and evil as such). The principal comes with him obviously cause he can help and it isn't a big deal. The problem is, spike is the one who goes to tell her since he can track her scent easily. When he got there he gave them an odd look and let them know of xander.(Spike is a vampire with a soul, he recently got his soul for buffy, because the government caught him and put a chip in his head to stop him from harming humans but he was still essentially evil, but he started to like her, but knew he would never be accept by her.)

While they a riding to the location where they needed to save xander, spike is sitting in the back while the principal is driving.(He notices in the rear view mirror that his reflection isn't showing up) But he still isn't sure and isn't going to assume anything. They save xander and the principal does find out he is a vampire, but isn't exactly going to kill him because he doesn't know his story.

Here is where a VERY interesting plot twist comes in, in the past they gave the backstory to spike. He was famously known among other vampires because he killed two slayers before-hand. And the 2nd one he killed he took her jacket as a symbol/trophy of what he did. Just recently this season he took it off to show buffy more of how much he has redeemed himself.

So the principal is at home when the first evil shows up, who is coporeal(like a ghost who can't be touched but can be seen). It can make it self look like anyone who has died, but can not make it's self look like anyone who is alive. So far it has used this to manipulate people. So when it show's up in the principal's house, it shows up as his mom who died. He says your not my real mom which of course she isn't. But Spike is the one who killed his mom. And Spike always wore her leather jacket, which he took off(to show buffy he was becoming good, and not evil) and always spouted it like a trophy since he killed 2 slayers one of them being the principal's mom.

Ashanti didn't bother me much, she got killed in a humorous way which is funny if you hate musicians trying to act. I don't really see the principal trying to go out with buffy now, i think he will have an intent to kill spike and take buffy from her, but she has feelings for William the Bloody ;).

So it wasn't as bad as i thought, had an interesting end note.

SEE!!!! I told you it may still be good! And you were about to start seizuring with anger! *flicks sonic's ear*

All the parts without the dates were good, the only reason it redeemed it self was the plot twists! I put it right behind Season 6's Doublemeat Palace.

you should be more open minded dude...

I'm pretty open-minded at least from my P.O.V, I don't complain about every little detail like SOME fan's do. Every show has there good and bad episodes. It's just that buffy was never keen to putting on big time guest, only musical guest who would show up in the local hang out they visit.
