"Seems to be a great form factor, encompassing PCI-X, Serial ATA, and legacy free computing. The prototype images look quite interesting, with the CPU/RAM being on the bottom front of the case, expansion cards being on the top back, and the i/o ports being on the bottom back. Basically, it makes for one backwards looking computer. The prototype they're showing off includes three PCI slots, two PCI-X 1x slots, and one PCI-X 16x slot for graphics.
BTX boards and cases should start appearing next year."
i'm glad intel did this , it woudl of taken a hell of alot longer to get pci-x as a standard and serial ata , and the cooling to allow faster/hotter cpu's will be great to . :scrump:
