I think the only music related thing that required a computer to ever take off are mp3 players, they are doin farly well. But for the most part I think ppl wanna just slap a album into a player and listen. Not fool with credit cards to buy one song and d-load it to your pc only to lose it when the disc goes bad or somethin stupid. I think if ppl are gonna spend money on music they want a physical item, such as a cd, not a file that came through a wire. Mp3's took off cuz they can be loaded onto the player and taken with you easily, plus you can store loads of songs.
